Cool, I don't care about other grades, just how UM does it. Thats all that mattersPFF grades are not the same as the team grades.

That’s my point. We won going away as a result of our skill players. I exclusively watched how the position groups that are arguably the biggest question marks on the team performed. If you watch play by play those units you will see a much different picture than what the final score would indicate. Our offensive and defensive lines most certainly DID NOT perform well in that game. To suggest otherwise is turning a blind eye. Do it yourself. Watch each play but only look at the lines. It’s harder to do when watching live but you can slow it down to .25 or .5 speed on YouTube. Anyway, it’s worth doing if you’ve got the timeBut SHU didn't have skill position or special teams guys on level with ours, so we won the game going away. No team is perfect.
Think a service does them and they are notoriously not valid for FCs schools.Like I said, I only know that colter referenced them on his show yesterday when he was talking about the game vs SHU. I’ve never seen the PFF grades and know next to nothing about how they’re compiled or how accurate they are. Are they NFL scouts doing this compilation?
I'm not disagreeing with your assessment. I'm saying every team has strengths and weaknesses. Some Griz fans seem to expect perfection at every position at all times. That’s my point. The coaches don’t agree with you. Back to OL school for you. Pass protection was terrific.Like I said, I watched the lines exclusively. Do the same and tell me I’m wrong.we’ve got elite skill position players who were playing against a very undisciplined and overmatched secondary. That they won those matchups and were able to score quickly the way that they did was no surprise. I was looking at and commenting on the line play. The question I have when watching them exclusively is whether they can just physically assert their will in a game. Against SHU that should have ostensibly been the case. It wasn’t
Did you forget to watch pass and pocket protection? That’s my point. We won going away as a result of our skill players. Honestly, pass protection wasn’t bad. That’s one area they have improved for sure. It’s the run blocking that’s got to improve. At the end of the third quarter the series that really stood out was where we had a 2nd and 3 from about the 15 and on three consecutive plays we tried to get those yards through the run game. We got zero push and turned the ball over on downs. That stood outThe coaches don’t agree with you. Back to OL school for you. Pass protection was terrific.
They were good in pass proDid you forget to watch pass and pocket protection?
Old school mentality would say constructive criticism does help with motivation to improve. Participation ribbons and sweet nothings written into press clippings isn’t going to get it done. The o lines pass protection has absolutely improved. Run blocking not so much. If players are on Egriz reading the comments we might have found the problem. It would not be time well spent and better they utilize it for improving their performance. I honestly cannot figure out why so many fans get butt hurt over criticism on a fan board. It makes no sense. The Griz are 7-0. They should be! Very favorable schedule this year and if they want to win jt all then they should be improving at every position each week. The O line hasn’t when it comes to run blocking. They just haven’t!Someone should not be heavily criticized too harshly for B or B- work, but the Griz need a solid A performance out of the o-line to win the NC! We all would love to see that. The o-line needs the motivation to keep getting better and better, but it is true that negativity from fans on here does nothing to improve their play.
Truthfully, outside of a quick ChatGPT search I’m not well versed in what they are or how they’re compiled, and have no idea how accurate they are. I’ve just heard Colter Nuanez reference them on his shows.

Those numbers actually track pretty well with what we’re seeing. Decent to good pass pro and sub par run blockingPass Blocking Grades From Week 8:

I thought the opposite. I thought they pretty much match what we’re seeing on the field. Pass protection is improved and continuing to improve while run blocking has stagnated or gotten worseI think this brings up more questions than answers.
Giving up one for another? It seems to be a trend.I thought the opposite. I thought they pretty much match what we’re seeing on the field. Pass protection is improved and continuing to improve while run blocking has stagnated or gotten worse
It's almost like we've been able to throw at will on teams that put 100% of their defensive effort into stopping our run game.Giving up one for another? It seems to be a trend.
