Stoops to Notre Dame

Since I am part Irish and from Butte, of course I am a Notre Dame fan. But even I admit the Notre Dame mystique is fading faster than my horrible miss-directed tee shot. I'd like them to get back to where they once were, it would be great for college football, but for reasons posted above by grizpack I am not holding my breath. Still get chills hearing their fight song, just not hearing it enough. GO IRISH

PS...(Nothing against Weiss) I love Gruden, I would love to see Gruden scowling the sidelines at ND. He'd bring the intensity.

Also, being from Butte and a Notre Dame grad is Bobby Gannon....nothing sez more than that regarding the "specialness" of Notre Dame andits mystique...

Thats not possible, I know nothing about football, hell I didnt even call the Bo Pelini choice a few years back after Dr Tom Osbourne sent me an email about the choice before it was made public.

I never get this inside info and when I dont get it, its never accurate. :roll:

ESPN is reporting that Brian Kelly is going to interview with Notre Dame tomorrow in New York. So much for the "I'm not going anywhere" speech he gave his team last week. After all, that is so last week.

Can't say I blame him though. Go to ND. Next year, do 1 game better than Weis did this year (don't think that will be difficult). Get contract renegotiated for 11 years (instead of the 10 Charlie got). Don't worry about what happens. Retire early. Who wouldn't take that?

Don't think Alpha was too far off. Stoops and Meyer were choices 1 and 1(a). It has been pretty widely reported that Stoops at least listened to what they had to say.

Last night I got an email from a "friend" said Stoops lawyer is already working on the contract.

Its a done deal, but what I cant for the life of me figure out is why anyone would want Stoops? The only guy that loses more big games than he does is at UM.

Just another in a long line of Alpha news breaking "DONE DEAL" announcements that turns out to be not worth the free internet ink it's written in.
