Stitt's staff didn't lose this game

Go sniff up Saban's arse some more. The Griz of 1994-2009 never let this unprepared b.s. happen. Go smoke a southern bowl of alligator crap.
Actually in 1995, Griz gave up 49 in the first half against Idaho in Moscow. Down 49-16 at half. Pretty much got run out of the building.

Or the 52-9 playoff debacle in Macomb Illinois in 98.

It was a disappointing start, but I’m proud of the way the team fought in the second half. This is such a young team, you can se something special coming together. This team is going to steamroll teams in the coming seasons, but they’re not quite there yet.
This!

There needs to be an emoji of someone banging their head against a wall. That's what I'm doing trying to convince y'all that the "Fire Stitt" threads are getting ridiculous.

Wouldn't it be funny if he quits, gets hired by Nebraska and wins a National Championship there! lol

Not going to happen, but I would laugh.

If he wins here, which is definitely possible, he might get hired on there. A natty for Nebraska though would take quite a rebuilding.
You do realize it would take 4 years don't you

I am a Cat fan. Coach Stitt is the second coming of Rob Ash. You guys used to play really tough with swagger. Now, the Griz play soft. You guys need to get the swagger back and play nasty. Just say’in!

I'd say 503 yards of O against the con's highly touted #1 D was due to some good preparation.
Running up yards is not so difficult when you spot that team with the #1 D four scores right out of the gate. Great preparation.

I'm confused by your logic. When we rack up 500 yards but only score 27 points because of turnovers its a bad thing. HOWEVER, earlier in the year when the opposition was doing the same against us, racking up 500 yards, scoring less points then us - you still complained.

It could just be that "some people" don't want Stitt to be the coach (because they think they are buds with a different candidate, or Stitt didn't give them a reach around at a meet and greet, or both) and will not support anything he does no matter the result on the field.

CDA I suspect you are 100% right and hit the nail on the head for some posters on this site. I like to think though, that all of us (except the Cat fans and Griz "fans" you mentioned), want the same thing. We want a #1 ranked championship football team. We all just have different tolerances and levels of faith/belief in the journey to getting there. I am not convinced this coaching staff can't be great, yet. Some already have lost faith/patience and I can see why. I just don't agree with them, yet. I hope I dont end up having to do that as I believe another head coach change could put us back several years.

I don't disagree with any of that. :thumb:

Look at it as you must but the bottom line is we were beat by a better team in all phases of the game.
And if we're attempting to apply logic, such as your post does, a reminder; we were picked 6th

Bigkid, you are right to some degree I guess as we lost due to turnovers and penalties which our team is responsible for and their team capitalized on. Overall, though, do you feel they dominated us? I sure don't and overall feel we have a higher achievable ceiling than Weber does after watching this game and that still includes this season. I think we clean up the penalites and turnovers and we are a better team with more potential though I do, despite his turnovers, think we need Gresch to do it.

Well I take opinions from unbiased cat fans such as yourself with all due respect.

this team was unprepared and undisciplined; stitt has not progressed from last year; time to face the music; your friend, yogi

I see where this is going and quite frankly I think weber is a better team than Montana. I think they have better players, and coaches. Nau is as dominate as we will see and the only saving grace will be the game is in Missoula. Hopefully the boo birds stay home because I think Jerome is licking his chops.

Griz were beaten by a team that played better on this day. Uncharacteristic penalties and turnovers dictated the outcome. I think the second half showed that Weber was not necessarily a better team. D held them to a field goal, O scored three touchdowns, and game was not locked down until less than a minute remained.
Griz may not make the playoffs, but if they do it would be nice to get another shot at these guys.

I realize that it is pointless to "discuss" this with you but isn't Rob Ash the most successful coach y'all had in like almost 40 years?

At LEAST 4 years. He'd need to get his players in place...right? LOL

No we weren't. I know the final score is the only stat that matters but we won pretty much every statistical category and some weren't even close. 1st downs, rushing yards, passing yards, and 3rd and 4th down conversions were all in our favor. Take away two of the seven turnovers (counting the targeting penalties) and we win this game.

Again though, Stitt haters are like republicans and democrats. I'm not gonna convince you your wrong because you've convinced yourself your right.

So, penalties and turnovers are not part of the game? And winning the stat battle while losing the game gets you what......a too-tu and a visit to Disney World?

Most college football games are won or lost because of a few plays. Trying to justify a loss using these few plays as excuses is ridiculous.

And reading the excuse-making and weak silver-linings that you and others are desperately trying to sell to us looks exactly like reading the Bobcat board during the Ash years following yet another loss.
