I bought a half dozen today. I feel sorry for the guy.
You cannot afford half a dozen eggs.
Yeah okay. How you fill now.WaGriz4life said:God you are an idiot. Do you realize that spread offenses like his are actually less complex than most pro-style systems? This is why spread QB's have often not been successful in the NFL. This is why every QB teams like Oregon and West Virgina have had have success. You just think it's more complicated because it looks different. These offenses are very easy to learn compared to other systems. You have to be some kind of stupid to think the quality of athlete he could recruit at CSM was the reason they won some games. He finally has receivers who can runpoorgriz said:bhumble said:How can you guys be so high on a coach who was 108-62 (.574 winning percentage) at CSOM with 3 playoff appearances in 15 years (1 appearance every 5 years) losing all three in the first round? I suspect he will do about the same at UM. :!: :?:
I think it's funny how griz nation is always so quick to point out that "ya, but all he had to work with was super smart engineers" when in reality it very well may be that the reason he was relatively successful at CSM is BECAUSE he had a football team full of super smart kids that were able to process his system quickly, make smart decisions quickly, and run that offense to a T. Pssst, I watched the player interviews and one thing's for sure - your grizzlies this year certainly aren't going to be confused with a bunch of Rhodes Scholars anytime soon. Plus it's not like there aren't a bunch of engineer types that aren't ALSO damn good athletes.

If you actually looked into it, you'd see that anyone winning more than 30% of their games at CSM would have to be a damn good coach.

All you've done is show you know nothing about the program he inherited, the scholastic requirements of his recruits, or how well he competed with schools that did not have CSM's standards and restrictions. He made more with less at CSM. We suspect he will make even more with more at UM.

Call this thread up at the end year when you are 7-4 and then we'll talk about less than intelligent. Not a bad year by any means but not the "good old days" either.
