It's the opening week of Griz footballl..the opening week of football period. If you can't get excited for this game you're clinically dead. The Griz have a new and exciting head coach and staff, a new and exciting brand of up-tempo aggressive cutting-edge football, a new in-state QB, an excellent set of WR's (Hendo is back!), a solid D, improvements to the best FCS Stadium, a new Academic Center for student-athletes, a new Champions Center on the horizon, and a prime time Saturday afternoon football game on ESPN versus the 4-time defending National Champions the NDSU Bison. For Griz Nation It's time to put aside any doubt and get on the bus. It's almost game day. We all need to nut-up and show some solidarity and get behind our team and our program and our university! There is no room for second-guessing, naysayers and nitpicking. The work has been done and it's time to show it on the field this Saturday at Washington Grizzly Stadium. GO GRIZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not this one unfortunately. Maybe the Cal Poly game, Cat-Griz in Bozeman for sure. Watching the Cats lose in Bozeman has been my favorite pastime since I was a child. Be loud as hell for me.

Hell yeah I'm going to be there. Booked my hotel less than one hour after ESPN announced the game. It's only a 621 mile drive...each way.

If you actually looked into it, you'd see that anyone winning more than 30% of their games at CSM would have to be a damn good coach.

He didn't exactly have the greatest athletes at his disposal at CSM, nor did he have the recruiting tools he now has. Best stadium, Hall of Champions, new Academic Center, soon to be new locker room, weight room and indoor practice facility.

I think it's funny how griz nation is always so quick to point out that "ya, but all he had to work with was super smart engineers" when in reality it very well may be that the reason he was relatively successful at CSM is BECAUSE he had a football team full of super smart kids that were able to process his system quickly, make smart decisions quickly, and run that offense to a T. Pssst, I watched the player interviews and one thing's for sure - your grizzlies this year certainly aren't going to be confused with a bunch of Rhodes Scholars anytime soon. :lol: Plus it's not like there aren't a bunch of engineer types that aren't ALSO damn good athletes.

This is why every QB teams like Oregon and West Virgina have had have success. You just think it's more complicated because it looks different. These offenses are very easy to learn compared to other systems. You have to be some kind of stupid to think the quality of athlete he could recruit at CSM was the reason they won some games. He finally has receivers who can run

All you've done is show you know nothing about the program he inherited, the scholastic requirements of his recruits, or how well he competed with schools that did not have CSM's standards and restrictions. He made more with less at CSM. We suspect he will make even more with more at UM.
