Stitt getting NFL visitors

Doubt it; they just want to see some game results before anointing him the Messiah. The only naysay I read is not directed at Stitt, rather at those overhyping the change without a single bit of results.

Exactly. His record at Mines(108-62)was of some value during the hiring process. That part is over, and now means nothing. Anticipation of what he will do from point of hire onward is why he's getting his checks. There's a movie line from 1976 that makes this point really well. Its from "The Gumball Rally," with Raul Julio playing the role of Franco:

"Franco: And now my friend, the first-a rule of Italian driving.
[Franco rips off his rear-view mirror and throws it out of the car]
Franco: What's-a behind me is not important."

Stitt is driving the Griz Cadillac. Time to throw the rear-view mirror out the window.

Dont throw the rear view mirror away, we might need it to make sure we can run over the bobkitties again if the front bumper didnt do enough damage! :thumb:

PlayaraPE will jump on the Stitt bandwagon and his success just like he did on the Griz when they took of in the mid 90s. Turncoats......its what they do.

:coffee:

I think it was more late 80's early 90's.

He was a self proclaimed cat fan in the 80s. I bet he didnt really start full on the Griz bandwagon until 95, his character would fit that model to a T

And you have admitted on egriz that you haven't been a fan since before Hauck came. What's that, 2002. Ya, you are one talk about someone being a bandwagon fan. Looks like Stitt's arrival has caused you to become a bandwagon fan.
On behalf of real Griz fans.......I don't accept your apology, it seemed scripted.

Try again, this time with some honesty behind it.

Maybe we better hope he struggles for a while or it could be a pretty short stop for him in Missoula. He is not exactly a well kept secret.
I'm not worried. This has been going on for years. If he were the kind of guy that jumped at every opportunity, he probably wouldn't be here now.
Totally agree.

[How many of these do I have to keep bumping?]

My father played for the Griz, as did a number of other relatives of my wife.
I can't be the only one who thought, "holy effing Appalachia" when they read this sentence from PR.
That's not nice -- just a slip of the fingers. (Of course, Montana does have a small population. ;) )
