Stitt fired

I sent Haslam a strongly worded e-mail on Sat. night whilst I was shit-faced. I wish I knew how to post it to e-Griz...comedy gold, believe me.

Well, guess I'm not making my 2 million dollar donation now. Bummer for the team. There will be backlash and we will lose players. Yes, I'm in the know before you ask.

I guess we'll get that in-door practice facility now! Yea baby!

I am fine with Bobby.

I know nothing about the Western Ill DC
Kevin Kane, a Dave Doeren disciple.

He probably wouldn't blitz on 3rd and 35 or even 3rd and 31.

Let us all take a deep breath for now and think for a moment...Will we except our new coach and staff with open arms? Will we be patient enough with them to get back to winning? Our foot is in the ring, don't let it get stepped on!

So...3 years?

I bet that is the magic number. However, Stitt hasn't left the cupboard bare by any sense of the word. If we get a Head Coach, we should win immediately!

If Bobby gets hired back I’d like to see him give Ferriter and Selle a chance to get their jobs back. Both are really good coaches and recruit Montana well. Plus both played for him so there is a connection.

Got to think it’s big game bobby if Germer & Green are still employed. I would agree on both Ferriter & Selle.

Everyone calls for Stitt to be fired, and when he finally is we start handing out passes to all the ex-griz players because they are "really good coaches". Sorry, but if you wanted to fire Stitt then you subsequently also were ok with all those guys getting canned too. The fact that they are ex-griz doesn't make them good coaches, they are just qualified differently because they once wore the jersey. If they never played for the griz, everyone would want them gone too.

I’m suspending disbelief and making the assumption that the new coach is big game Bobby. They’re known quantities to Hauck. He’ll hire who he wants, but he always checks with me before big decisions like this. I’m also going to tell him I think he’d be a fool not to make a run at the strength coach Stitt hired, he’s done a spectacular job. And who knows, maybe he will if this comes to fruition.

Good point , that's for the new coach to figure out . In there defense though it all starts at the top with leadership

I totally agree Soldier, it does start at the top, but, like the poster above was saying, through all the fire Stitt or not fire Stitt debate the last 12 months, the thought on the former Griz assistant coaches was, they're good because they are former Griz. I agree above, being a former Griz doesn't automatically make them a GOOD football coach. They chose to be coaches knowing they could possibly fail/get fired ect. I feel bad for ALL THE GUYS who got let go this morning, not just Selle and Ferriter. But, former Griz or not, it's part of the business.

If we're not going to be patient with Stitt, we shouldn't be patient with anyone else. Fair is fair.

So in a crazy turn, sources say Jerome Souers will be back as #NAU’s head coach in 2018. Andy Thompson adds the title of associate head coach. #BigSkyFB

We gave stitt 3 years with 2 losses to the cats. Twice to a cat team that didn't have a winning season. There is patience and there is patience....

It will all be fine if they follow this eGriz expectation chart:

Year 1: Make the playoffs. Semi-finals minimum or the 'For Sale' signs will be pulled out.
Year 2: Win the whole damn thing.
Year 3: Win it again, going undefeated this time.

Nope year one better be a BSC championship and a victory over cats with 2 playoff wins.
If not I will start the fire Hauck threads. I have heard for two years how Hauck would do this do that and win all these games. If it is Hauck I expect results immediatly #noexcuses

JK I like Hauck I will say that I wanted to see Stitt succeed and was looking forward to next year.

Well just say it is Hauck. The Talent Stitt has on board and coming in they will win! Hell I bet even Mick Delaney could take this talent and win...

Right. There's not many people around here who would ever consider attributing the program's failings to Selle, Ferriter, Green, or Schillinger (though the latter two look like they somehow managed to keep their gigs), even though players at every one of their coaching positions failed to produce at some point or another.
