Status of Injuries-Brint?

Statler..hmmmm..let's take a close look at that. Liberty Game: Crittendon went out in the first quarter. Soooooo...there's that, but Tucker Scheye and Ryan Johnson played the rest of the way, soooo, backups playing at DE. Check. Gamboa played the entire game, but...his backup is a senior in Connor Lebsock. Played a TON of snaps against Liberty. Check. Ryan McKinley is Nate Harris' backup at corner. Played tons of snaps against both NDSU and Poly, then relieved Harris in the Liberty game. Backup corner needing reps? Check. Lastly, Manu Rassmussen IS A BACKUP safety, and since he got hurt during the game, that would mean he was already being played and getting reps. So backup safety..Check. FYI, your suggestion for third-stringers getting to play in a road game doesn't hold water either. The travel roster is cut down, and many of them don't make the trip.

I don't recall this many injuries this early before. What's up? I realize injuries happen but this is getting rediculous. :wtf:

Some of it might be pure math...as in the more chances you can to have an injury the more likely one can happen. Long career, likely injured along the way......running a ton of plays on offense, means a ton of plays on offense due speed of play means also more time that the defense is on the field, thus more plays they have to play as well. Players don't get hurt during huddles....and the clock is ticking.....

To give #1s a break for a few plays or a series, or to coach up someone who screwed up. #1 drops a pass in the end zone, put in #2(not that it could really happen). A little experience is better than none. Look at all the gaffs in the last two games. Could have been a teaching moment, experience moment. Now, 2s and 3s get the school of hard knocks experience, no choice.

with less experienced players, the number of gaffs, etc, would likely have only increased, and in games like these where any team would play to win, that doesn't seem smart. but then again, i don't sit in the balcony.

Everyone's out - Egriz is being called upon to field a team.

I'd help... but I strained my thumbs tweeting this week

Injuries happen in this sport, but this season seems to have more than normal. Not making any accusations - but the NCAA rules committee should really look into bans/restrictions on chop blocking because of injuries caused when legs are cut out. Outdated and dangerous or needed blocking technique? Is it similar to now-outlawed head-shot targeting, or defensive linemen using head-slaps on blockers.

I did get cut block bad when tweeting the other day. Couldn't prepare or brace myself for it. Twitter is a dangerous game if ya don't watch your knees.

BW, you've got to have your head on a swivel man. Got to see it coming if ya know what I mean! Now get back out there and give us that SR!

Wow first time I see Lucas (the penn st transfer) on the 2 deep. Hope he brings it! Also am hoping it's a healthy Logwood. May be just what our run game needs!

Sounds like Stitt is adding height for the Redzone struggles. :thumb:

Logwood has been on that two deep a lot...means nothing to me until I see him actually carry the ball........

Every team has their injuries, but the Griz sure seem to have some at the worst spots this year. Eastern had 6 starters out last week against MSU, but compared to what the Griz are missing thats nothing.

Tough break for you guys, heal up and kick some ass this week (it won't be close). I want to see the EWU/UM game with two healthy teams come November...

chop blocking is illegal, you get penalized for it, however cut blocking is still legal between the tackles and when blocking towards the outside
