Interesting ... about what I guessed. Still waiting for the list to be posted, but I'll add it when it pops up.

Edit: C'mon STATS, you're making me look bad. :(

Yeah, I guess that could be interpreted differently. If so, my apologies for my snarkiness. I'll take it back to use another time.

Never admit you are wrong, just get a black sharpie and fix it!

My point was that SEMO shouldn’t be considered a top 25. They looked awful. And CDA is right, don’t put a lot of stock in a secondary poll like this one.

SEMO is a good football team. The key for them is QB Santacaterina...MSU D was all over their offensive line and disrupting him the entire game.

20 is pretty low, but I wouldn't put much stock in this secondary poll.

I'm unsure why people would fuss over an inferior poll such as this one when they could turn to the official Egriz poll. Soon to be recognized as the premier fcs poll in the universe

(“Stuff” happens, so it took awhile to put my reactions together.)

I feel pretty good about where the Griz are, although my “Guess” had them one spot higher.

I’m mildly surprised the pollsters dropped Nicholls by two spots and Wofford by three. They don’t usually drop an “Idle” team … but it is early in the season.

Not surprised that they jumped Central Arkansas so much, this early in the season. Be interesting to see if that holds up.

Jacksonville State actually looked pretty good against Chattie, so I’m good with their #17 (which was my “Guess”).

More than a bit befuddled that they’d move Delaware up so much. They had to go into triple OT to beat Rhode Island. The Rhodies may think they’re ready for a good year. But they’ve been crap for several years in a row and current signs do not look good.

Also somewhat surprised that they dropped SEMO so much. Losing to a ranked opponent on the road does not usually hurt that much, but … again … it is early season.

Elon needed a 4Q TD to win at home over The Citadel. All due respect, but it’s been three years since Citadel had a winning season. So I can’t quite figure how the Phoenix squeak into the bottom spot over Southern Illinois, which pounded an FBS opponent (admittedly a bad one, but still … ). Plus, SIU didn’t get squat for votes (only 28?).

I rather expected Indiana State (0-2) to drop out of the top-25, and am mildly surprised that they came so close to staying in.

This is true, but Elon also played NC A&T to a very close loss week 1 while southern Illinois was handilly beaten by Southeastern Missouri.

At this point, I just look at the poll to make sure none of our future opponents have fallen in the rankings. It would be great if all four big sky opponents were still in the top 10 when our game comes around.

Disagree. SEMO’s known for defense & state ag hung 28 on them in 10-12 minutes of the third quarter. It was a good defensive effort no doubt but had it not been for a couple of mistakes, & a 55 yard field goal, SEMO isn’t in that game @ half. How do you explain all the cheap shots they were taking - I thought Choate’s head was going to come off. No, good teams don’t play that way.

Coming in, I though NA was a good team, but you could tell pretty quickly in the second half that they were lacking in the coaching category. HTF do you keep punting to JLM? Their plays looked to be drawn in the dirt - the QB trying to move guys around and wave everything deep. They had some very talented players - many if whom who literally tapped out when things went south.

Both Montana teams are head & shoulders better than either of these teams. & SEMO isn’t a top 25 team.

I’m surprised the cats jumped uni, not because they’re the cats, but because they all but beat FBS isu and then we’re putting the coals to Suu. I know it will all shake out over the season when we see where teams really are, I just didn’t see enough for the swap.
