North Dakota State and James Madison led the way with six selections each, followed by Montana with five, including three first-team choices. The first team included the players invited to the upcoming announcements of the national players of the year: the Walter Payton Award with quarterbacks Eric Barriere of Eastern Washington and 2020-21 recipient Cole Kelley of Southeastern Louisiana and ETSU running back Quay Holmes, and the Buck Buchanan Award with linebackers Troy Andersen of Montana State and Patrick O’Connell of Montana and Florida A&M defensive end/linebacker Isaiah Land.
Besides O'Connell, the Griz #1's included Justin Ford and Buschini. The other two were Matthew O’Donoghue (#2, ST) and Malik Flowers (#3, ST). Tells you something that UM had three players from Special Teams on the list.

Plus Macias should’ve gotten a little consideration too

Agreed. Kevin Macias was perfect after the Eags game in Cheney, with both field goal and PAT attempts. Wish he would have been recognized by STATS as he was impressive.

I don't know, man. 19 FG's in a row? Sounds pretty pedestrian, if you ask me....

O'Connell and Ford definitely deserving.

I'd personally have liked to have seen RB Cameron Skattebo, TE Marshel Martin, and DB Munchie Filer III on these lists. K Kyle Sentkowski was named to the 3rd team, but he should have been FIRST team. SMH....

Of course, I'm speaking as a homer....

From what I saw (two games), the OL was the real strength of your team.
