But if we're constantly comparing records of other teams to ours, the idea that their record would be more acceptable to our fanbase than what we had in the same timeframe just seems incredibly farfetched, to me. So acting like "at least they did x, y, and z" doesn't matter because that still wouldn't be good enough for the fans calling for Bobby to be fired right now. As I said, they'd only be shouting louder.

I doubt some fans would be shouting louder if the Griz were beating the neighbors and winning the BSC. Yes, there is zero doubt the Big Game Bob moniker would arrive in abundance, but it would be better than where the Griz are at currently.

I never said it wouldn't be better. I would be thrilled to have won the Big Sky the last 3 years. But I also don't think the last 3 years have been as awful as everyone thinks.

We were better than they were at the end of the year in 2019 and 2021, and not that much worse this year despite a much worse regular season record.

Stretching the facts to amplify your point is not necessary in this case. 892 is a pretty awful number, especially for a team nationally ranked in rushing defense, but it isn't 1000.
