There is no way in hell the Chamber of Commerces would let this happen.
Urinal ...this will happen. For a purported, educated person you seem to be rigid and lack foresight. The kid from Bainville or P-burg would LOVE to play in one of these venues. However, you have never played the game and couldn't possibly "feel" this from a print copy book or a P.C... :egriz: ( AG1... sorry for borrowing your nickname "Urinal"...but it is a bullseye. I'll be happy to pay the standard $ 1.00 lease fee.)

Lol I wish there was a realistic timeline on it so I could bet the house that it won't happen. Kids don't have a say in this... again...the chamber of commerces ALONE will not let this happen.

Which Chamber of Commerce? Missoula's? Bozeman's? Billings? Sidney? Plevna?

While Missoula and Bozeman's would push it, Helena, Billings, Sidney, Miles City, Butte, the Montana Chamber of Commerce, etc. will all be against it...

I mean people can think whatever they want but if they really think the business' don't have a say in this they're crazy

I think there is a good chance this gets passed. I remember back when the Eastern A thought about doing the divisional tournaments at the Metra in Billings. The towns all complained at first. But after a year or so they love it. Just makes things so much easier to plan and allows way more room for the fans.

Uhhhhh, not quite accurate. The most recent edition of the Sidney Herald newspaper included an editorial stating the exact opposite regarding the Eastern A BB tourney. Contrary to what you all believe, this proposal regarding football is highly controversial and will be no slam dunk.

I think there should be lotteries in each division to determine the game site. Towns up for consideration have to be able to handle the crowds.

All that person wants is things to be a little more fair. The football proposal would accomplish that.

Yah I don't see how this would make it "fair." Sure they "eliminate" home field advantage but is it really fair if let's say a team from Miles City is playing a team from Butte or something in Missoula? Obviously I know that is a horrible example but you get the jist...

It will never be completely fair for everyone no matter what system is used. 5 championships in 2 days then hop in the car for Cat Griz. Epic!

South Dakota has all 7 of its championship games at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion. They're spread out over three days, which means some teams are playing their title games at like 11 AM on a Thursday. No 8 or 6 man in SD, but they do have three 9 man classes, which play their regular games on the same size field as Montana's Class C teams. But they don't alter the Dakota Dome field at all for the title games...those teams just play on a bigger field for that game. Makes for some wide open 9 man championship games. Just imagine a 6 man game on a bigger field.

Talked to a bunch of Class B Ad's this weekend in Bozeman about this. Most said they would not vote for it unless it was held in a Dome. About half said it was a terrible idea, and the other half didn't seem to care one way or the other. But the Dome issue was a main sticking point for almost all of them.

I guess I was meaning the coaches and ADs like it.

And I do understand Eastern A schools playing in Billings is quite a bit different than these same schools having to go to Missoula.

When I played in the state championship football game in 99 we had to play Hamilton in Hamilton. Was quite a trip.

So what you are saying is Montana's high school championships will now be played in the Fargo Dome. ;)

Using that example, was it fair that we had to travel all the way to Chattanooga in '08 and '09 while Richmond and Villanova both didn't have as far to travel? IMO fairness isn't the issue here. I agree with others that after a few years, people will start to like this idea.

I was just responding to someone who said this should happen to make things more fair when in reality most neutral sites are never fair. I still just don't see the business and non football side approving this at all

If you are not a pussy you play the best teams, anywhere, anytime, and you don't make excuses like the field conditions were horrible, it was too cold or we had to travel too far.

That is loser speak and that is why it is everywhere on this board.
