So who is it in your opinion? Sanders or Sandry?
I trust the coaches to be making the right decision here since they have the full perspective and I don't. I'm just another fan, I watch the games just like all of us and that's what I base my opinions off of. The NAU game was tough to tell who was having the issue, I think the first long-bomb TD came on Strong's side where he came up to cover a slot WR possible (TV coverage wasn't the greatest) and it appeared that possible Markell Sanders thought he had safety help. So who made the error? Was Strong supposed to sit back in some sort of zone and make the error coming up on the shorter route? Did Markell Sanders make the error thinking he had deep help but didnt? Or was it executed properly and Sanders was just beat?
The way I see it, the safeties coach is Shann Schillenger, one of the better/best safeties we've had as a player, who is working his way through the coaching ranks. Additionally the DC is Jason Semore, who was last year's DBs/Safeties coach. These guys know the defense and know who they're dealing with and know what's best for the defense. If they say it's Yamen Sanders, I believe them.
Great post Brint. I'll just add, it's a 100 percent FACT that Shann sets the safety depth chart.
