I have seen it posted here before. But, here it is again. NEVER, in my memory, has a player been talked about and hyped up so much in the history of Griz football, yet mattered so LITTLE. I don't care if you are the best athlete in the world. Because it just doesn't matter if you don't play.........
TOTALLY agree. As much as GK has filled the pages of EGriz and the Missoulian, you'd think he's been enrolled at the UM for the past 8-9 years. He's the topic of discussion that never dies, yet has zero relevance.

FALSE!!! Check the books.

At least Moore has and does get to play. He just self destructs himself out of commission.(by his fearless play) GK has an attitude that can be seen from the stands. Which, reflects his playing time. He is no Chase Reynolds. Sportsmanship (like handing the ball to the nearest official) goes a long ways ON & off the field. Unfortunately, we reap what we sow........

Bad attitude and poor sportsmanship? You've never met GK. More made up garbage!

yep. the best player is ALWAYS on the bench. the best qb is ALWAYS 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart. the best coach is ALWAYS not on the staff. and the wins are ALWAYS in abundance if just these guys could get on the field....

...and all the world problems are solved at ones favorite watering hole if the could just be remembered the next day

Do I remember a play or game that stands out as a "Gerald Kemp" high-light moment?... Not really.
I do remember him fumbling inside the 5 against the Cats two years ago while I was freezing my ever-loving arse off in the Northwest Wing. I hope that isn't his legacy for the Griz. Maybe he can make up for it this coming weekend.

He does have experience and is athletic. I agree and hope he has a good game. He should be on the field as much as possible..offense, defense and special teams.

Let me help you remember a positive one.

"Kemp's touchdown catch gave Montana (2-1/1-0) a 17-6 lead over the Eagles (0-3/0-1), which proved to be all the points they needed."

Final score 17-14. Bye bye relevance argument.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr.

Looks like state college fans have been reading the press notices again as they were last year. Don't theyremember being destroyed by the Griz?

If Kemp wouldnt have played...........we would have won 31-14 :coffee:

rushing, 107att - 514yds, 4.8avg
receiving, 27rec - 210 yds, 8.1avg
passing, 16comp - 30 att, 210yds 2 int 2td

5.7 yds per play. 7.2 per pass att. 13.6 per comp.

I know these are incomplete as the KR/PR numbers aren't here, but I figured these were a little imperative to the thread. Ok, maybe a lot.

If GK was as good as all the egriz hype, he would be on the field every down. And to all the people thinking GK is the most wasted talent at UM ever, he would have no one to blame but himself for not seeing the field. Due to his stubborn insistence to play QB, when it was evident early to the coaches that he was not the best option, he would not and did not show the willingness to change positions.

eh... dude has scored at every position he has been ASKED to play

*edit*... I think I may be lying... dont recall a KR/PR score
