Start KEMP at receiver

Umista said:
Kemp is a nice kid. Has speed. Fair hands. But will not start at receiver.

Stay tuned because at least some plays were put in for him early in the season.

I will be more than ticked if he does not get in on at least one of the designed plays for him in this game.

Perhaps the most wasted use of a player I can ever remember. Lots of blame to go around. 3 head coaches. His attitude. Toss in a taze. Wrong place or team at the wrong time! I wish him luck and I hope he has a screaming great game!

Seems with the athlete tag no one knew quite where to put him? 3 head coaches is right. First he was a QB, next a RB, then a WR, then a QB again, then a WR again. I might have added or missed a few? Point is I agree, maybe not start because who should give up their starting spot, but I hope he gets lots of touches none the less!

Yes, but who wasted the talent? Should returning every kick and punt the last game as well as playing a lot of reps at WR.

Who cares. You obviously don't understand how dreams work. You just don't give them up because someone ask you to. You fight for them. That's what he did.

Now, I say he should start because he is a senior, the best receiver, and he earned it.

People bring your arguments.

So which senior (who also have worked hard and have dreams) do we rob of their last start so that Kemp can start? Sam Gratton or Bryce Carver?

There ya go, Mike!

I do not have an agenda. Bobby Hauck told me he would not and could not play QB for the Griz after he was here a season or so. That is the information I have used regarding Kemp. He (kemp) did have a disagreement concerning playing QB with a coach. That coach mentioned to me that fact!

At the begining of this season Rosenbauch was extremely high on Sir Kemp. Kemp got screwed and did not get to play. I feel very bad that he did not get to be the star of the Grizzly team. I expect him to have some very good plays in his last Griz game and I will be there rooting him on! Kill the scats Kemp!

Mom, he will not get any more playing time via this board of crack pots like myself. Sorry.

IF ANY of what Umista just posted is true, then good lord it's no wonder this program is so effed up and under an NCAA investigation. I don't give a rats how much money a fan donates to the program via the GSA, or privately, head coaches have no business telling fans how bad one of their own players is. That's just plain stupid.

G$ will start in place of Ellis Henderson next Saturday. Doesn't mean he'll end up getting more plays than Ellis, but on senior day, he will be on the field for the opening offensive series. PERIOD.

Start Kemp. He has been jerked around enough by the "system". He is a senior and arguably the receiver on the team right now. He practiced all season. He's fast with awesome hands, and definitely the most physical receiver we have. He has put in the work all season (even through his ineligibility). There is two weeks to prepare for the Cats and we need to put the best players on the field.

Come on all you Kemp supporters, what do you say?

...either that or full back...
...he'z built just like lex...
...man among boyz...

... 8-) ...

1 carry. 9 yards. Never sees the ball again. Classic Rosenbach offense.

Sorry, his attitude is not bad. Feel free to ask players who busted his ass the hardest after the 2010 season ended? Who was in the rec center working on his passing for many hours? Who many of the team wanted at QB going into the 2011 spring camp? Unfortunately, Kemp got injured and his snaps became limited, and JJ turned out to be a damn good QB after a month of growing pains. Kemp's attitude and work ethic has never been an issue in his time as a GRIZ. What limited him was untimely bad luck injuries. Gerald has busted his ass his whole time as a GRIZ.

Yes, he did hurt his pro stock by not committing to learning Safety or WR from the get go.

AS for tazergate, has there ever been a more blown out of proportion ever in GRIZ football history? He was only guilty of being of legal drinking age and a party getting a little too loud. That is college life for many. His life will go on just fine after all this.

Gerald Kemp has been an asset for the GRIZ, and not a waste. Give the guy a break. He could not control dumb luck injuries, which kept him from showing his potential. Good luck Gerald, thank you for your commitment as a GRIZ. Sorry some people are so hard on you. To MRS Kemp, I met your son, and he was 1st and all class to me, and my friends. Be proud of your son. Gerald be proud of yourself!

I am a GRIZ fan who will be pulling for you.

Well said. Hope he gets in for many plays against the Cats. It sucks that his senior season got so fucked up by the NCAA.

rbprospector: Just asking the question about who wasted talent? Nothing more. He has been injured but should have been playing WR from the start.

Umista, you are flat out lying! You and several others who have been bashing Kemp from day one are full of it! I know Bobby Hauck and he said no such thing about Kemp! Please go back and review the 2008 recruiting video of Kemp and LISTEN to what Hauck said about Kemp as a QB. Recruited him as a QB. Ran the scout team his redshirt year and was given credit by the coaches as the guy who helped prepare the defense to knock off the #1 seed JMU because of his ability to play like Rodney Landers. He was the only redshirt Hauck allowed to suit up and on the sidelines in the National Championship Game. Not only that he and Phen told several people it was a difficult decision to keep him on the sidelines when Cole got hurt in that game. They thought about burning his redshirt then, but decided against it. They were grooming Gerald to be the next QB which is why the first opportunity they had to put him in his redshirt freshman year that is exactly what they did. It was against Portland St when Roper went out with a concussion. The offense did not loose a step with the KEMP/SELLE rotation.

And BTW RBProspecter is NOT KEMP's mom you dumb @$$! You don't know what the F*&%K you are talking about and you never have!

:thumb: reciever....safety....SOMETHING...ANYTHING.

I think Kemp has a legit chance to get on an NFL roster or more likely practice squad as a special teams player.

You said robbed, that is so funny. Let's ask the whole team and see who they say was robbed. Don't you guys know?

As a WR he wouldn't have gone to Montana. That was the deal a chance to play quarterback. He had a chance to compete for QB leading into this year.

That's old news, there's only one game left and we must win it. Go Griz

I wouldn't be SHOCKED if kemp started. He's an ELECTRIC athlete who could really put a CHARGE into this team.
