Spring Preview - The Offense

what makes a leader ? leadership principles can be taught but are really caught, leaders are not born, but developed, leadership is not inherited, it is earned....all in an individual that has the "right stuff" or the "it" factor within them to accept this role and say follow me......a qb must be a leader to have team excel in success. stitt is making this a priority this year to find that guy imo.

It helps to have a head coach the team respects and rallys around. Do we have that in Stitt? I believe the respect will occur when they determine Stitt has the knowledge to coach at the FCS level or might be a con man who talked Haslam into hiring him.

I believe there are two different groups of players based on how they feel about Stitt, the kids he recruited and the ones he didn't.
Ryan Johnson gave Stitt and the rest of the staff his full endorsement at the end of the season. I think the buy in and enthusiasm is quite high all around. Just not on egriz.....which is okay.

I belive it was UM75, in one of his many Tolstoy tirades, who said Johnson only said he believed in Stitt because Stitt was seated next to him at the press conference. According to all the private small group discussions UM75 claims to have had with student athletes, very few, if any, support Stitt.

Its crazy how much some people just hate Stitt.

No matter what stitt says it will be over analyzed and nit picked to try and make it seem as if he is an idiot.
It's ridiculous. He shows one trace of confidence and he's labeled as arrogant and full of himself. Over in another thread they are shitting on him because he said we'll have a lot of young guys playing this year, so they're spinning it as a presumed excuse going into a bad season.

It's hilarious to see everyone's insecurities....but also frustrating.

People are mad because Stitt talked the talk and is having a difficult time walking the walk.
Little easier fixing a couple of things but that is a big list.

Patriots are dominate because of
1. Bill Belichick
2. Tom Brady

They went 3-1 w/out Brady to start the season. It starts at the top.

Belichick was a losing coach in the NFL until Tom Brady QB'd his team.

I would rather lose than have a scum bag cheater like belichick and a ass kissing pretty boy sidekick.

Assuming that there is something personal that you could/would/should lose rather than wishing the Griz lose no matter the coach or the QB? Otherwise this is bordering on dip-shit post of the year. There are e-griz posters who don't like Stitt but I don't think any of them wish the Griz to lose.

It's true he said that. It's also true that a player's dad came into egriz to tell the board that 75 is full of it and that his kid and all his teammates are happy and excited about the program and it's coaches and future. 75, the dude who supposedly has all the players backs, in the ultimate twist of awesome irony got called out by a player's parent on this board. I don't take anything that guy says with any seriousness. The "foe" button is your friend. Best move ever.

may not be a very good comparison,,,,but the dick kid from billings senior is the epitome of a leader that makes everyone better and his teammates do not want to let down... I believe these are the main traits and characteristics that led u of m to give him an opportunity to compete for the qb position. this kid has the IT factor.

I watched this young man play a AA playin game at CMR last Monday. I don't know what his deal was but he did not exhibit any of those qualities. I will leave it at that. Maybe he just doesn't like basketball.

I know the OL has been working extremely hard and can't wait to see the competiveness over the next several months.

happy to hear this as the red shirt freshman are about as talented as any class I remember,,,,there just may be a four year starter or two in there..... :o

That was kind of my point krammer. Senior struggled in BB and they got beat handily that night. He just did not seem to be enjoying himself from the opening jump ball. I'll leave it at that and give him the benefit of the doubt that his behavior that night was not the norm.
