Tommy Running Rabbit took the time to explain his quitting Griz football. How much time do you think it would take to explain the 'no TV' decision? I would guess five minutes, max. A staffer could do it. Water under the bridge at any rate.

I am pretty sure that Hauck did talk about it on the coaches show back when the decision was made.

Eli isn't great at pass protection and isn't great at running routes and catching the ball out of the backfield. Everytime they ran a wheel route with the rb sneaking out of the backfield or an angle route faking the flat then cutting it back to the inside, those were given to Stevie Rocker because Stevie was better at it than Eli. The times they would throw Eli the ball were mostly on flat routes he would run or bubbles which were easier for him to catch. Eli isn't great at catching the ball which is why Stevie complimented Eli well.

Eli carries an 87.7 PFF ranking for pass blocking as a running back.

He's got 561 career receiving yards and has increased is receiving production every single season.

Rocker was/is probably the better pass catcher / receiver overall - but to say Eli isn't great at either pass protection or as a receiver is flat out crazy talk.
