liking McKinney. Has a good future.
Grizmayor said:What kind of defensive looks did you see Brint? Last year in Billings they mixed in a good bit of 3-4, but then didn't use it a lot during the season. Did the offense throw to the backs any, and I don't mean screens. (Circles, flairs, waggles?)

Denarius is a very good QB, at the FCS level. I don't get why, some talk trash about him? I think it is more to get under Cat fans skin, than Denarius.

The Montana football team's usually strong running game took a backseat to the aerial attack Saturday night.
Four different quarterbacks combined to complete 33 of 46 passes for 390 passing yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions during the Grizzles' second scrimmage of spring drills before 8,731 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
No. 1 quarterback Jordan Johnson led the way by going 12-for-12 for 164 yards and three touchdowns. In addition, fellow junior Nate Montana was 6 of 12 for 81 yards and a touchdown, sophomore Shay Smithwick-Hann was 9 of 14 for 86 yards and a touchdown and redshirt freshman Trent McKinney was 6 of 8 for 59 yards in the 92-play scrimmage.
McKinney also gained 36 yards on the ground to pace all rushers.
"I am really happy with the way the offense came out," interim head coach Mick Delaney. "They showed a lot of poise, which they should, because we've got a lot more guys with experience who have played on offense. The trigger guys (quarterbacks) make a huge difference. All-in-all, I thought all of the quarterbacks played well tonight."
Thirteen players caught passes, led by Cam Warren's five for 70 yards.
Montana will play a final scrimmage in Washington-Grizzly Stadium on April 21.
Delaney has replaced Robin Pflugrad, who was fired on March 29 in the wake of the university's recent investigation into numerous alleged sexual assaults on campus, some involving football players.

grizaremoregooder said:Looked like the Grizzlies front 7 on defense are going to be a very solid group again. The offense really didn't have a lot of success running the football against em at all. I credit the defense because the Grizzlies have some pretty darn good backs and offensive lineman. The quarterbacks had a couple nice runs that was about it looked pretty good to me. Our secondary is pretty inexperienced right now but boy, I was surprised at how badly Jordan Johnson (and the other quarterbacks) and the receivers burned em. Johnson gets rid of the ball so damn quick there is no pass rush what so ever he really knows how to run the offense. If Johnson plays that well the offense is going to put up a ton of points next season goint to be fun to watch!

I didn't see who, it came on David Nguyen's big hit and TFL, a few guys were shoving a bit for a few plays but it didn't seem major, just things getting heated. I assume with an ejection maybe a punch was thrown?

Any idea what the recovery time is on that? Don't like to see guys out because of surgery......![]()
