Road trip!!!

The Montana Grizzlies' final scrimmage for their upcoming spring football drills is going to take place down I-93 in Corvallis.

The Bitterroot Chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association is hosting the University of Montana spring scrimmage, which kicks off at p.m. on April 18 at the Corvallis Community Event Center.

It is believed to be the first such Griz scrimmage in Corvallis, located 45 miles south of Missoula. The scrimmage will mark the end of spring drills, which kick off March 16 and last four weeks, wrapped around UM's spring break (March 30-April 3).

Tickets are on sale March 1, and all proceeds benefit the GSA. For more information please contact the GSA office at 406-243-6481.

Going to be neat that kickoff is at p.m. as I don't want to miss it!

So, get there in the a.m. and then you won't have to worry about what time in the p.m. it is...

No, I'll be at the Bitterroot Brewery in the A.M. Those of you from Polson should be also so you get a taste of what a "real brew pub" is! :D

CT's in the afternoon. (Corvalis Tavern). Home in bed by 8 (I'm old).

And, you know, it's not "I-93," but then, who cares? We all know where Corvallis is!! Didn't know about the Bitterroot Brewery, but we will probably have to put it on our list of things to do. Also, does anyone know if there is some sort of tailgate event planned, like they've done in the past in Polson?

I like Corvallis but this is a joke. As far as breweries go they are my second least favorite behind Bayern. But I would like to put in my room reservation now ahead of the crowd..

1st off, it's your least faviorate because they will make you keep your pants UP! No one needs to see that more than once in their lives thank you!

2nd, GrizCHiz has the standing reservation at "this Hotel" and if she wants to bring YOU along she will have to ask! No kidding she will have to ask!

3rd, you are ONLY SLIGHTLY more reliable than that slimy GRIZO when it comes to "I'll be there" statements!

Actually, it would be great to have you because my car's have cost me $1000 is rodent infestations so far this month and one of the suggestions about keeping rodents out of cars is to pee around the garage....As you know, I have a big garage!

It's in Hamilton. (3 miles down the road). Home of the best nachos in Montana but bring your own jalapeno pepers as they don't put any on! Don't ask me why!!!!!

Maybe you 2 could share a room?

I will call the hotel and tell then to get larger blankets so you 2 can make a blanket fort for the sleep over.

Be sure to add going to Stevensvilles newly opened Blacksmith Brewery to your list. Its located on the mainstreet just as you come into Stevensville.

Blacksmith will likely have a party going at their brewery for the scrimmage. Also the Plum (Plum Loco) has reopened as a non-smoking bar along with Fiesta En Jalisco sharing the space. Great stop after the close of Blacksmith (8 pm) for food and drinks and across the street!!

The CT is within walking distance of scrimmage--good bar but pretty smoky...

Ok I'll get on it. I haven't seen Buckhorn around for years but I'll do my best to find some. :P

Corvallis has a real nice facility now, brand new. Little high on the "crown" of the football field but very nice with soccer fields and even a couple rest rooms for you "city" folk! Bit short on seating for something like this but if it's a nice day, should be beautiful and lots of fun.

BTW, it was a tremdous fund raising drive that paid for everything and they still have some to pay off, but no tax dollars! (A few wonderful local people floated some personal loans that they're still trying to get paid off to finish it as soon as they did.)

A bit of a dig to the other locals down here in that Corvallis has NEVER lost to another valley football team on their home field since the new facilities have been open! Come to think of it, that includes "away" games as well! :D

I've never been to Corvallis. This will be a good excuse to go.

I lived there from 3rd to 8th grade, trust me, you're not missing out on much

I wish we would have had more 'advocates' like you in the last ten years...90% of our neighbors would still be on the Pacific Coast!
