I don't remember our players storming the field like we won a national championship in any of our victories in the last decade plus.
Let me preface this by saying I don't care either. But I can say with 100% certainty the Griz do the exact same thing after winning in our place. Which sadly has happened a lot. In 2015 when you beat the crap out of us I had sideline passes and saw and heard it all. Stomping on our logo. Spitting. FTC. Waving goodbye to our fans etc.
I think the best thing to do if you don't want to see this is to defend your homefield which neither of us have done well lately. But it most definitely happens by both teams just like about 95% of the rest of the rivalry that both fans take part in and sweat up and down their players and fans don't do the same thing.
I think we're maybe talking about different things, which is my fault for not clarifying. I know that sort of stuff happens from both teams. I guess it sucks? But I know this means a lot to all the players, so I don't get bent out of shape about it.
My point is, for a team that has now won three in a row and wants to claim they're the "dominant" program in the state, the team still reacts to beating the Griz like they're punching up.
Granted, we've never had a really close, last second win that I can remember since 1997, so I guess I can't say we
wouldn't act the same way, just that we haven't.
