They have EWU number 1, NDSU in the 2-spot, and Griz at 8. Probably about right for now.

1. Eastern Washington (12-3; 3) - Opposing defenses must pick their poison in defending Walter Payton Award runner-up Vernon Adams and his favorite weapons, wide receiver Cooper Kupp and running back Quincy Forte. As the offense scores in bunches, linebacker Ronnie Hamlin is expected to be back to lead the defense, which must improve. Of course, coach Beau Baldwin doesn't take it easy with his schedule, and the non-conference games include Washington, Sam Houston State, and, yes, Montana State in a game that won't count toward the Big Sky Conference standings.
Implying MSU will be a tough game for them next year.

Decent looking list.

Interesting to see Chattanooga on there. I've never understood why that hasn't been a better program. It's in a hot bed of recruiting, in a great town with great FCS facilities. In the past, the dominant teams from the SoCon may have held them back, but that could be a program to watch over the next 10 years or so.

I actually think MSU's Big Sky sched gives the Cats a chance to remain in playoff contention next season. If the Cats can beat Central Arkansas, they will only lose two non-conference games, the FBS game they have yet to announce, and at home to EWU (Sorry MSU fans, but I just don't see you guys getting it done against VA). Their Big Sky sched is favorable, and I think they could honestly have a playoff berth locked up or at least have a chance to make the playoffs when they come into Missoula.

If they keep Bleskin in at QB I don't see them doing anything at all. They lost to SFA, couldnt really put any points up against a DII team... I just can't see anything great happening for them next season. I winder who the FBS team is gonna be tho...

I think Bleskin will win the job and I think the Cats will be no worse than playoff bubble team come November. Now, if they drop four games and need to beat the Griz in Missoula, then I hope for a repeat of last year. But If MSU is 9-3 going into Cat-Griz, they are in, no doubt in my mind. As for the FBS team, I keep hearing Air Force, which would be as winnable as SMU was for them last year. But who knows.

I see what you're saying but... man... Maybe its just me but I thought Bleskin was not that good. Lots of off target passes, either to low or to high or behind the receiver. I just can't see it happening. Especially 9-3. Let alone beat the 2014 Griz with JJ as a senior and quite a few other key players as seniors. But... I have been wrong before.

FTR..I don't think the Cats will beat the Griz in Missoula. I'm just saying I think that MSU's conference sched is just weak enough to give them a chance to get to the playoffs, possibly even without having to beat the Griz. But then again, they could lose to Central Arkansas and Eatsern Washington back-to-back and be 1-3 in their first four games, much like MSU fans predicted UM would be this past season after four games. Who knows??

I personally don't believe that Roderick would transfer to MSU if he didn't know he was going to be the starting QB this next year.

Gotcha. I haven't even got a chance to look at their schedule yet. I agree, who knows. Gonna be interesting to see how it pans out.

Well if thats the case, why didn't he start when DM went down? And especially after the loss at SFA?

Roderick broke his hand against SMU and was out until I believe EWU. He was a WR/holder this year only. He'll get his chance this spring. I think he will beat out Bleskin because Roderick is more of the type of QB that Cramsey needs to run his system. Bleskin (IMHO) is more of a pro style QB. The wild card will be Prukop, who is an extremely good athlete who will be a redshirt sophomore. I wouldn't be surprised to see him or the McQueary kid out of Manhattan switch positions. Both could make very good BSC Safety's.

It will be interesting for us this coming year. We have a lot to replace (QB, RB, 2 WR, Buck DE). I think we have some very good young talent waiting in the wings, but you never know how they will preform once the bullets start to fly.

He was hurt. Plus, he was a receiver last year.

I dont see how the Cats can be playoff contenders next season. They lost too many key players from this years team that went 7-5. I just dont see it happening..

I didn't know he broke his hand! Thats gotta suck as a transfer coming in and expected to make a splash. Should be interesting!

I'm with you on this. There is just so many key positions that need to be filled that were once a strong point for the team. I'm not saying it can't be done but maybe in 2015-17 unless they pull in some drop down transfers. Then maybe but after losing the guys that had a huge impact over the last 3-4 years, I think its gonna be a tough row to hoe.

Agree, the Cats may take a step back this year before they can make another push. At this time we could be anywhere from a 5 win team to an 8 win team. We will know more after spring ball. Our strength right now is the O-Line which has played together now for two years and will still have only one senior. The rest will be Juniors and a Sophomore. The strength on defense will be the linebackers where everyone is back and we also get Na'a back in the middle.

 too much credit to bleskin, sorry, but I don't see him doing anything positive for sCats next year. FTC, Go Griz

Sounds like they'll be pretty strong in 2015 if they don't come to life this season.
