Just an observation, but how about you observe a little more closely at how good this team is and find another excuse other than the "play a team with a winning record." :coffee:

Just an observation, but how can you judge talent when you have not come across any? I am not crapping on the Griz rather noting that they have yet to play a team that can expose their weaknesses.
Welcome to the board Troll. Why don't you rip on Sports Network for their judgement of talent for giving Montana the predicted #4 seed. Clearly NDSU, Towson, Sam Houston State, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa and Eastern Illinois don't belong in the top ten FCS poll since none of these guys have beaten a D1 team that has a winning record. While you are at it, why don't you complain to ESPN that Seattle and Denver don't belong on the top 10 on the NFL power rankings because both of those two teams have not beaten a team with a winning record and that is obviously the BEST means of judging a team's talent....

You are absolutely right. If I were you I would book airline this morning based solely upon you beating teams with a combined record of 3-7 with 1 of those wins being D-2 and one being NAIA...
Wow. Whaaaat?

Oh, the fail is strong in this one.

I'm gonna make an observation that theobserver is not very bright. :o

And I am going to make an observation that 9 of the top 11 in the new FCS poll has played a D-1 FBS team vs hiding behind D-2 teams. Just an observation!

Its true my friend. 9 of the top 11 have had the balls to play above their regular level of play.

And while I have not confirmed it, I will bet that more than 50% of the top 25 have done so as well.

You guys are nuts if you think MSU isn't making the playoffs. They have three games left on their schedule that should be difficult. Assuming they get DeNarius back when Ash predicted (Oct. 26 would be 7 weeks) he will be back for both of those games.
And they're not losing to UND this week. SFA and UND may both be passing teams, but they go about it totally different ways. And SFA has a senior at quarterback who knows that system inside and out; go back and watch how many time he fired deep outs before the receiver even made his break. The quick passing game took away the advantage the Bobcats had with their front four.
While DeNarius (and Flotkoetter and Roderick and Barnett) heal up, MSU has to get by UND, then NAU at home (third tough game) and Weber after a bye. They'll be 5-2 and well inside the top 10. If they lose to both EWU and UM they'll finish the season 8-4, with an FBS loss, two losses to what should be top 10 teams, and a loss to SFA that the committee will likely not give a lot of credence to because 1. Happened in Sept. and 2. they were without their starting QB. That resume will get them into the playoffs.

You may be correct....then the kitties go to Fargo for the much postponed game with NDSU :o

I'd pay to see that game!

Kyle, if you would have told me a year ago the griz would finish 5-6 I would have never believed you. Crazy stuff happens when you lose your starting qb or have a few other injuries. Even if he returns soon from a separated shoulder, DeNarius won't be the same player. He can't take the contact and he might not be able to make a lot of his throws. DeNarius is a physical qb and it will be nearly impossible for him to be the same player. I still think msu has a lot of talent, but their o-line has looked crappy for several games and their defense now appears suspect. This is starting to parallel the griz from last year.

Just an observation why don't you :stfu: until your team is dominant for more than 5 years. Just an observation but the nation talks about Montana when referring to the Mt Rushmore of FCS, never EWU...just an observation, why don't you focus on that shithole Cheney, and bringing somewhat of a stadium to that dog shit university so our Griz don't have to play on a high school field every other year.

This is the most stupid statement that I have read today!

Actually - it is the legal problems and NCAA probation that has "the nation" talking about Montana.

so our Griz don't have to play on a high school field every other year.
Oh - that same red high school field that the Griz have yet to win on.. that one??... Just an observation

Just becasue your sorry ass is still clinging to that doesn't mean the rest of the country is. :loser:

Oh Really.... Google University of Montana. Now take away the wiki, and UM's own web addresses and you are left with

"UM has an enrolment problem"
"University of Montana rape reports botched"
"NCAA penalizes University of Montana"
"An ESPN article that is R. Pflu talking about the NCAA penalties"

And oh ya.. "Montana tackles D-II squad from Oklahoma

This is no joke, google it...

Mt Rushmore indeed.... Just an observation

Need a bigger shovel? You're gonna need one at the rate you're digging your own hole. 8-)

I would think the Griz want EWU to beat SHSU this weekend. If Eastern wins, that probably gives the winner of the Big Sky the #2 seed in the playoffs. If EWU loses, SHSU probably won't lose again and will have the #2 seed.

Just my thoughts...

Oct 26 should be a great game between two top 10 teams....possibly top 5.

Good luck against NAU this weekend...

Not quite... as I said in another thread.

These teams are not 'taking on a challenge'. They are getting paid more than they would make with a home game of their own. Griz fans know this... "been there, done that!".

In the past Montana hasn't needed the money, so they were not forced to play up. Because unlike EWU, we have a program (you have a good team but so so program) and we have stadium that seats enough people, so that the football program brings money in. At this point you still have to play away from home to bring in the bucks. There is no way you can bring in enough money by playing in that hideous little high school stadium that is rated close to the bottom of the BSC let alone all of FCS. You guys were/are puppets for the money and we were not.

You are absolutely correct, this may be the best opportunity for our friends at SHSU to lose a game. Put a little more bluntly (and with no offense intended) we want EWU to win cause we can beat them in October.
