Blanchette is a Montana boy, in fact maybe Missoula but not sure about that part. His focus on special teams play was accurate----I've never seen a college game where the difference between special teams play was so dramatically different and critical to the outcome of the game.

Found a nice article about him. Born about 1956 in Great Falls, graduated from UM about 1977. All kinds of journalistic honors.

He’s old school. But I still can’t forgive him for the article from 2002 when he called us all toothless tobacco chewers.
