Speed of Play Continues to Be Under Fire

The bully institutions do not like the field to be leveled. The safety claim is supported by nothing but supposition - more plays, more injuries. No data behind it. Obviously affects Stitt's approach.

So playing extra games is the problem? maybe we need to ban all post season games.

Someone pointed out on Rivals main board that Oregon and Baylor have had the fewest major injuries of any program over the last 7 years

It was somebodys DEFENSE that was pissing and moaning about the speed game. Don't remember is it was Arkansas or not.

Saban at Alabama has bitched his fair share. :thumb:

These coaches that cry every time someone comes up with a new angle that requires them to actually adapt a little should just start their own 2-hand touch league with 1940 rules and STFU and let the big boys play.

All these jerks at the big-money program will (suddenly) change their tunes when they figure it out: Teams with more depth -- where there's little or no drop-off in skill/speed with the 2's and 3's -- get a huge advantage with the faster pace of play. THEN, it will be the only way to go, and those who complain will just be cry-babies who can't compete.

I wonder which offense bielema runs????? hee. hee.........
One guess.

Just saw an article praising the way he has "adapted" to a true "pound the rock" style that's good enough to compete in the SEC.

Well the uptempto teams, like Oregon, play 4-5 at RB and like 10 at WR per game. The main RB may get like 15 carries at most.

Whereas ground and pound teams, a guy will get 20,25 carries a game. How is the the fast tempo more dangerous again?

Or more ... sometimes way more.
