Not in this household. Weber is not flashy, but they show some toughness that could make a crucial difference when it gets down to crunch time.

Individual talent? Truly have not seen enough to judge. But we have seen SEMo play, and the decisive WSU win speaks volumes as to their ability to beat good competition.

Just did a kind of highlights comparison between the Weber State win and the Maine win. Conclusion: Schemes are different, but they're much alike. Both play hard-nosed defense and have offenses that make big plays. We expect a low-scoring, defensive struggle, with one proviso. The Wildcats seem to play much better Special Teams: Would not surprise us to see something along those lines decide the game. (WSU showed a lot of trickery -- that mostly worked -- against SEMo, but I think that Maine is too sound defensively for that to be a big deal against the Black Bears.)
