SDS frosh qb fumbles read option on own 35. Back seemed to hang on too long. Here comes the Gophers.
Another damn big mistake in the midst of out-playing the opponent. Time enough left, but that successful 2-pt conversion could be crucial.

Now they have to score AND win OT, unless they get ballsy and go for 2.

And that's it. Man SDSU had every opportunity to win this one. They're going to be tough to beat in FCS.

Agree ... with one quibble.

Without the big mistakes, they pretty much outplayed Minnesota for most of the game. Take those out, they win ... easily, IMO. So they should be tough at FCS. Unless big mistakes at crucial moments continue to be a part of how they play. Then ... all bets are off.

I tip my hat to the jackrabbits. That’s a tough way to lose to a power 5 team when you think you had it won. Very good team as always, but some poor mistakes from a freshmen QB which is expected, but man oh man SDSU was the better team tonight.

This is the type of game that proves a top 5 team in the fcs can hang with good not great fbs teams.
If sdsu would have just kept running the ball with Pierre strong Jr., It might have had a different out come. Sdsu was dominating line of scrimmage the whole 3rd and part of the 4th quater. That kid is a monster. Has it all size, speed, and hands. He should have had a t.d. reception from about 45 yards out that got called back.
If Gibbs can keep from making the big mistakes, this might be the year Sdsu breaks thru and takes it all.
Their defense in the front seven is very good, it's just the secondary which is a little suspect, but that should change when they get their starting cornerback back later this year.
