South Dakota game on TV?????

According to another thread, Max Media was televising the SD game. My question to those with experience with MM, is there any way for out of staters to get Max Media? For instance did they provide satellite coordinates for the MSU games they televised or are we out of luck.

I don't know what is usual but I googled "max media satellite coordinates" and got this as one of the top links:

http://www.msubobcats.com/news/2010/10/23/FB_1023102701.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Granted this is from 2010 but it looks like it is at least possible that satellite coordinates will be provided.

I just sent another email to Max Media Montana about the game and it's options to view out of state. We'll see if I can get anywhere with this round. Here's hoping.

Did you ever get any kind of response?

I never heard back, I emailed MM's headquarters again and they said they'd try to get the Motnana director to respond. Hoping to hear back or see Guffey's standard Friday afternoon update with coordinates.

fltheadgriz is right, it is on KTFM-TV in Missoula.

Saturday’s football game between Montana and South Dakota is one of two Griz games airing as part of a six-game Max Media package on KTMF-TV in Missoula.

The Grizzlies’ Oct. 13 home game against Southern Utah is also slated for Max Media pickup. The company formerly broadcast the entire Montana State schedule.

That arrangement went by the wayside when the Big Sky Conference sold first-choice TV rights to Root Sports, which kicks off its nine-week package with the Montana-Northern Arizona game Sept. 22.

KPAX-TV and its Montana Television Network, the former TV home of Griz football, is not scheduled to broadcast any UM games this season.

Four Montana State home games are on the Max Media schedule this fall. The Bobcats’ opener against Chadron State at 7 p.m. Thursday leads the ticket, along with games against Stephen F. Austin Sept. 15, Northern Colorado Sept. 22 and North Dakota Oct. 27.

The Griz and Bobcats dominate the previously-announced Root Sports TV package; every game on the regional networks covering the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions will involve one of the two in-state squads, including the Cat-Griz matchup Nov. 17.

Also, all of the Root Sports games will be simulcast nationwide on DirecTV’s Audience Network (channel 101). The satellite broadcaster has owned the regional sports operation since 2008.

UM’s game Sept. 8 at Appalachian State is scheduled to be shown on ESPN3 and ESPN GamePlan pay-per-view. The Grizzlies’ home game Sept. 15 is slated for a spot on Altitude Sports

Some of us are outside of the state and so cannot get Max Media Montana. I am still trying to get an answer to the question of whether the SD game will be on FTA satellite. If not then that would be a bummer. Where I live, highspeed internet is simply not available. I emailed the station manager to ask the question but have not gotten a reply so far. If it is not on FTA then this will be the first Griz game I did not see in many years.

Doesn't really apply to this game or in state viewers, but I just saw a release from ESPN saying that they are changing the set up to their ESPN3 programming. No longer can fans who don't get WatchESPN through their internet provider watch ESPN3 programming, that includes me as a Comcast subscriber. I know a few people have used XBOX360 subsriptions and their ESPN3 to catch some games including the Griz vs. App State game this season but looks like this won't be an option for some of us any longer.

Anybody get any word on FTA coordinates yet?

From what I understand, this applies only to events actually on ESPN TV channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.) Up until recently most of the live sports content on those channels were also available through ESPN3. Now you can only see these if you have WatchESPN access, but I think ESPN3 exclusives should still be available. If you could watch ESPN3 content before, you should be able to watch the App State game. Events actually on TV, like playoff games, probably won't be available any more though...

That and to any viewers who used to get ESPN3 and not WatchESPN such as myself and any other Comcast viewer in the rest of the US.
