South Dakota Coyotes Scouting Report

Nobody thinks that this being Wells first game as TTech head coach will diminish their performance? Maybe this isnt as bad of a blowout as would be expected or maybe it will be. I guess we will see. I trust AZ given seems to know the TTech team.

Wells >> KK, especially from a defensive standpoint. The physical changes in the players (S&C) are unreal. This team will NOT fold like KK’s teams did...they’ll be better day 1...and remember what a KK-coached team did to EWU.

Oh, and I think the USD QB will spend most of the day running for his life, throws two picks and fumbles once and I think we win going away. :thumb:

Oregon is ranked at 10-13, depending on which preseason poll you prefer. Texas Tech is unranked in all.

Yep. Tech has its' worst team in years. Not that it matters.

As a Texas Tech season ticket holder, I can assure you this year's team is not "its worst team in years". That would be the LAST two years (including the one where they absolutely destroyed EWU). THIS year's team will be much improved and will still blow the doors off teams offensively. Just better defensively--something KK never bothered to focus on.

Is KK from the Bob Stitt coaching tree?

I really like the energy surrounding the team this year. I just have more faith we will do well. Moreso than last year and much more than the year before. Cant wait! We showed flashes of pure brilliance and domination last year against good teams. We showed the opposite last year as well but I shall choose to forget those times.

In any case, we have some really young kids/new players that are going to have to play well and do so for quite a few minutes each game. I think we will be better later in the year than at the beginning, moreso than most teams. I think we will have to scratch and claw out a win this week so:

52-17 Griz

Just kidding

34-24 Griz

I also think they’ll flip the script from last year. They played so well in the beginning of 2018 but peaked in the early stages of the season. I’d like to see the team get better and better each week, which is what you’d expect from a Hauck coached team. We shall see.

I don't normally do this, but the Griz are going to smoke USD and prove right out of the gate they are a legit contender. The toughness and attitude are back and there is lots of talent on this Griz roster.

Sometimes when I read bold statements/predictions on egriz I'll roll my eyes at how ridiculous the statement is. And while I'm not sure because I'm always a worrier... I'll say, none of what you're saying is wrong about this team. It wouldn't totally shock me.

I’m not one to make bold statements on here, but this is the most confident I have been in the Griz in roughly 10 years. Hauck’s quiet, confident demeanor should also be noted. It is a stark contrast from last year and you can literally see his excitement. The players have used last season’s 4th quarter failures and the heart wrenching loss to the cats as motivation. By all accounts they had a fantastic off season. They also feel very disrespected by being underrated this preseason. The overall team has been improved through the addition of transfers and the development of young players and there is talent and depth across the board. The schedule is difficult, but if the o-line has made the strides that I have been told they have, this team could be special. Sit back and enjoy what I believe will he one hell of a ride and one that Griz nation has been missing for far too long.

So far so good. This team is proving to be a contender. Football has returned to Montana in a big way and this team has been lots of fun to watch!!
