Does anybody know what the Lady Griz's SOS is this year? I have looked and I can't seem to find it.

I looked up Lady Griz RPI on collegerpi.com and they were ranked 44th, this as of today. Strength of Schedule was ranked 215th, which is kind of typical when getting into games against teams in a conferenced ranked around 22nd in division 1.

Lady Griz RPI ranking on ncaasports.com was 49th as of monday. Didn't have the strength of schedule.

teamrankings.com has Lady Griz ranked 42nd in RPI with a strength of schedule ranked 211.

Now, that argument for Lady Griz to move to WAC. Strength of schedule would be better than it is in Big Sky.

I will amend that last post. collegerpi.com had Big Sky Conference ranked 24th in division 1. Even in the WAC strength of schedule would not be a whole lot better. WAC in women's basketball is only a little bit better. 17th ranked instead of 24nd ranked Big Sky. Best team in WAC is ranked 195 in strength of schedule. But, Lady Griz SOS would likely be better than it is now.

Thanks for the info and research. Hope you do not get ripped by certain someone's for mentioning the WAC (some are sensitive regarding that, wonder why that could be  ). Those certain someone's may also say the LG or Mens basketball could not compete in the WAC. IMHO, we could compete very well, especially the LG!!!! Good job ladies. :thumb:

Due to time, my research wasn't that great. La Tech has a strength of schedule ranked somewhere around the 130-140. WAC as more teams ranked between 100 - 200 then Big Sky in RPI rankings (not SOS rank). It has 4 teams ranked between 100 - 200 while Big Sky has 3. But, still WAC is right in the middle of all conferences. Big Sky is lower 1/3 and has been dropping past couple of weeks.

Now, for the men's WAC conference. that is a whole different thing. Can't defend against those who want to move to WAC. WAC in men's is around the top 10 conferences. And Men's sports generally rule.

After NAU game, things have changed a bit.

collegerpi.com now has Lady Griz with an RPI ranking of 37, with a strength of schedule ranked 189. Moved up 7 spots on RPI ranking, and considerably based on strength of schedule.

Here is one I like. Teamrankings.com has Montana ranked 30th in RPI. Strength of schedule rank was 190. An improvement of 12 spots in RPI rank, and a considerable improvement in SOS rank.

One of these two sites could have real innaccurate data, although the date and time from teamrankings.com appears to be more updated. could be a little of both.

Now, they will be playing teams ranked below 300 in RPI. Expect the Lady Griz to drop after each of the next two games.

collegerpi.com predicted bracket has Lady Griz as a 10th seed playing Notre Dame. Charlie Creme of ESPN has Lady Griz bracketed in the 9th seed playing Temple. Neither of these bracket predictions take the win over NAU though.

Either would be pretty impressive...
