Bass player Louis Johnson is a legend. He was creator of the iconic bass line for Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. If you want to know more look him up amazing player. The Brothers Johnson were amazing as well.

I'm all in on Stomp. Great call, bfc. Thank you!

CDANote: I used to work at a place where the head guy's limo driver was a dude who used to play bass on tour with Rick James in the 80s. We went out to lunch at Roscoe's in Long Beach one random day in maybe 2010. He drove a bunch of us suits in his fully-restored mid-60s Cadillac. I asked him, "Ron, what kind of gas mileage do you get in this thing?" His reply, "It's not about mileage, son." It somehow remains the coolest sentence I've ever heard.

Barf! Double Barf!!

Sorry you don’t agree, I work off the theory that there are two types of music, good and bad. What the style is has no bearing. I’m already for next week after the Griz stomp (see what I did there?) a mud hole in the kitties.

Right?! I could've followed up with some question regarding what "It" was about, but somehow, knowing it wasn't about mileage was enough. By far the "coolest" guy I've ever met. I don't think he's ever worried about anything in his entire life. I asked him much later if it was as crazy running with Rick James back then as Chappelle's show portrayed it. His response was one word: "Crazier." He has some absolutely insane stories.

Much better: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2wkza0

I could get on board with that, but I don't have enough menthols and Mountain Dew in my IROC-Z to pick up Trixie from the Landing Strip by 4am.

I think we as people often forget just how different people can be. We get locked into our own perspective and can't get out. Affects everything in society. I can't imagine being that laid back, just don't know how to get there.
