Some thoughts on Pokey

I've been to every Cats/Eags game for the past 15-16 years in Cheney and Joe Albi. Never once had a problem. Ever stop and think maybe you guys are the problem?

Lmao...the eags don't care enough about the kittens to hate them!

Shoot - Don't hang around Cheney. Take the bus from Spokane. Fun town - great golf, good food especially at midnight at the Whiskey Den (Chicken and Waffles and single malt :thumb: )

Reminds me of my younger days when we all went to speakeasy's. :P

I had to look at that website, and found Hogwash Whiskey Den, that must be it? Their eats didn't list the chicken and waffles, but maybe that's a late night specialty or something.

Either way, we will def check that out next trip West.

And Speakeasy's in the mid-late 90's (where HuHot is now) was a pretty good time, lots of gatherings there back in the day. Can't believe that qualifies as "back in the day" already. Sheesh... :?

You're not paying attention dickweed. They do it because of a thing called envy, of which there is none for Bozeman state.

To be honest I am not surprised that bobcat fans dont attract the same response as griz fans. You have been little to no threat to EWU and have no history of dominating Big Sky Football. You are seldom if ever circled on EWU calendar as a big game. So did you ever stop to think maybe you guys are the problem?

My son plays on the ISU football team. So my wife and I drove form Yakima, Wa. to Pocatello last Saturday for the ISU vs Montana game. It was the first time I attended a Big Sky Conference game at Holt Arena in Pocatello. I was very impressed with the atmosphere in the dome and in the north parking lot. I attended the ISU FAT tailgate and noticed there were a handful of Montana Griz fans stopping into the ISU tailgate party to eat food and have a beer or two. I was surprised and even thought "why is a Montana fan in the ISU tailgate, oh well they must be nice friendly people who are easy to get along with, so I guess in a way that is actually cool that opposing fans can tailgate together." There were many Montana tailgating parties set up in the parking lot as well that looked pretty fun and IMPRESSSIVE. All in all it was a great experience even though Montana beat us. I also attended the ISU vs EWU game in cheney last season on senior day for EWU and I was kind of shocked how decent the EWU fans were to me considering I had a ISU t shirt on. I'm going to attend the ISU game later this month in Bozeman at Montana State game what might I expect there??

Like clock work EWU,MSU and Idaho are the bottom of the barrel. Can't wait for Mr. Potato head to chime in. All three programs should have vandals as their mascots.

As much as much fun as it is to shit on the Bobcats, we should remember that they are in 2nd place for most Big Sky titles, and they're closer to us than they are to EWU, who's in third with 9.

Also, I was scrolling back, and holy shit. Montana either won outright or tied for conference champion every year but two from 1993 to 2011. That's ridiculous.

It's why your posts frequently lack context...glad you are catching up.

You'll catch some crap from a few drunk students. But, my guess is you'll be treated pretty well with your gear on.

Are you scouting for Isaiah for next year or just getting familiar with some of the BS venues?
The good people in Pocatello are great hosts, hope you enjoy Bozeman. Come visit Missoula in the future sounds like we owe you some hotdogs and beer.

Hogwash - yeah that's it!
I grew up in SLC, UT many years ago,and before they loosened the rules to get the Olympics, every place you could drink was like a speakeasy, esp. the ones that we could use our fake ID's when we were 18-19 yrs old 8-)

Why would you be shocked that EAGS fans treated you well? You do realize that it is simply the runaway imaginations of egrizzies who claim that EAGS fans are evil.

ABSOLUTELY NOT scouting for Isaiah, I just am enjoying the experience of the Big Sky Conference and the different venues. TOTALLY happy with our son at ISU and I like Pocatello a lot from what I have experienced of it. My mother lives in Stevensville, MT (which is obviously only a half hour away from Missoula) so in 2019 when ISU travels to Missoula I am absolutely going to go watch that game and would love to chit chat with ya and have a cold beer and a hot dog in the parking lot with you guys.

Yeah I guess I should not have been shocked. That's a good point. I was very impressed with the game day atmosphere at EWU. That video screen on the scoreboard and the loud music blasting was very impressive all game long and the crowd was VERY raucous (I don't know if that spelling is correct). I have some EWU connections, I coached your LB Ketner Kupp in football since he was in 8th grade through high school and I coached along side your wide recievers coach Jay Dumas when I was a coach at Davis HS in Yakima, EWU coaching staff is all class.
