some stuff going on at MSU

Isn't this the second Bignell kid that has been involved in crime in Bozeman? I though Ash was recruiting only clean kids. It seems not.

I would not call someone taking a bike and riding it for a block a thug. That is just dumb move by Bignell.
Seems like the kid makes a habit of doing dumb things choosing moo u was probably his dumbest of all dumb decisions.

Yes, one of the other Bignell kids also had a really stupid minor incident I think the first week of his freshman year. I think it was Clay who went on to be a team co- captain, to have a fine career and is coming back as a grad assistant coach under Kane Ione. All the Bignells that attended MSU were good players and have turned out to be excellent citizens.

Which is why when college athletes do stupid things they should receive a consequence, and we all move on. Trumaine also appears to be doing well, and still working in football. The programs are closer in discipline then some would have you think.

They may be closer in discipline but not in peoples perceptions. Perceptions are damaging as we have seen.

I am personal friends with a first cuz of the Bignells, when the griz were having all of the off field issues he was the first to point them out. I hated it when he would do that, almost bad enuf to do the same back.

However, i feel the majority of griz are better than that and should not stoop to that level. With that said I know how hard it is to bite your toungue. GO GRIZ!

As I've stated before, it's really not that difficult to be a student athlete for 5 years and NOT spend any time in the back seat of a police car.

This! x1000! At least someone gets it here.

That said, hope Ash comes down hard on Bignell (i.e., kicks him off the team). Playing is a privilege not a right. Give that scholarship to someone who acts like a responsible person.

Zeezrom you probably didn't say nothing back because he was bigger than you! I would say the Bignell family with their many years of history with the Cats would be a bit more partial to the Cat's just like some of the families that have a long history playing for the Griz. I really think like Griz fans, most Cat fans would not stoop to that level either.

A bit harsh I would say msuhunter. Kids do stupid things and hopefully he learns a lesson from this. My bet is that a few alcoholic beverages were consumed before he and the other kid started walking. I am thankful they did not drive and get in an accident that injured themselves or someone else. Was what they did right? Hell no and they should be punished, but to kick him off the team. Not sure that truly sends the right message.

Let he who without sin cast the first stone....

I am sure Ash's punishment will fit the violation and send the right message. That has been his history.

Has been with UM too. Just wish that more cat fans would admit that.

Why is this even being posted? Who cares? It is just more bad publicity for this state. We need to get past this stupid shit and move on to POSITIVE stories.

They are many, and MORE often... yet, they are over looked because they don't sell papers or get news coverage. MSU/UM/Carroll/(insert name of school here) do great things for their communities in the way of helping out those in need or volunteering with children or cleaning up their community or ____________

Really folks, these type of stories don't need to be posted because there will always be those douche-nozzles that turn it into a smack fest and make BOTH universities look bad.

I think "Grand Theft" bicycle is a high misdemeanor if not, possibly a Felony
depending on the value of the alleged bicycle

I think this may be classified as a "gateway crime"

He'll probably steal a moped next or someone's mule,
working his way towards the lynching offense of car rustling

actually, i was more interested in posting about the two coordinators leaving. sounds like they have both done quite well for themselves.

It sure seems those Bignell kids have discipline issues and off the field problems. I am not sure a coach wanting a clean program would take a chance with that history. Could it be they feel of priveledge because of their family's bobcat history?
