Considering that my uncles, aunts, cousins, brother, and grandparents and myself are Bison alumni, and that I have been a season ticket holder for 12 years, I guess you could call me fair weather.....also you know nothing of Bison history or our fan base if you think we are fair weather. Again, not trying to be an ass or prick. Hope to see you guys in the playoffs.
How come guys who always say they are not trying to be an ass or prick,
are always asses and pricks?

He is not representative of most Bison fans. I am ignoring people like him and concentrate on the fans that bring some intelligence and respect and thus we try to give respect back. This guy has neither, so move on.

Oh and since you are such a HUGE Bison fan, wouldn't your time be better-spent on your own football board with your new 1000 fair-weather fans as opposed to talking smack on ours?

Oh and just so you are aware, your Bison are playing an arch rival and a ranked team in South Dakota State this weekend. They have the returning FCS rushing leader in Zach Zenner. He put up 275 yards on a former rival of yours the University of North Dakota and he just put up 200+ on Nebraska who is a member of the FBS. I'm telling you because I'm sure you are new to the Bison and the FCS. I figured any education will go a long ways. Please educate all the other fair weather faithful over there. I'm sure the game will be on TV so all the Bison fans won't have to ask on Facebook again. Whew!

Oh! And I'm sure SDSU has their own football board that you can go talk smack on....even though you stated yourself you're not trying to be an ass or a prick. Good luck with that

How did this thread turn into if someone is fair weather Bison fan or not? It has nothing to do with stats. Honestly to God, despite his or any fans loyalty or intentions, who in the hell cares what he thinks? He's entitled to his opinion, just as anyone here is entitled to disagree with him. Other than those who have been Bison fans for a long time, nobody can know who is or is not a fair weather fan for any fan base.

Based on the criteria of winning and more support, does that mean new GRIZ fans since 1991 are fair weather fans too? Honestly, many GRIZ fans would be offended by anyone making that statement. It is dumb and ridiculous, just like stating it about their fans.

Overall, their fans are a damn good fan base. A fan base like ours with a great following. It is a shame the Big Sky would not let them become a member of it. All 4 Dakota schools belong in the Big Sky.

Don't think he was expressing his opinion. He was being a troll. Just trying to get attention. Probably a loser in life. This is my opinion.

Graduated from NDSU in 1999 with a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Job was transferred to the Twin Cities 5 years ago. I've still maintained my season tickets despite moving and made the trip up to Fargo every game, except for the birth of my son 2 years ago. Sorry I turned out to be such a loser in life and a fair weather.

I was on my way back to the cities and figured I would come on here to see all the smack talk after the Cats loss. Wasn't trying to start shit. I simply said that you are going to have inflated stats when you play teams that have horrible defense. Not sure what is so bad about saying that. I've said the same thing to NDSU fans talking about Brock's year.

Bison's real problem is probably with the rankings. Last time I looked at the stats, NDSU was behind Montana in all the categories.

And I am tired of people dissing App State and UND. I suppose it's because of App's hangover after their loss, but they did beat Elon this weekend. And I am not a betting man, but would be willing to at least consider putting money on UND over the Cats.

You honestly think I or any NDSU fan is jealous because Montana is beating them in offensive stat categories??

Dream on dude.

Look, you didn't look at the stats of the various teams before your post. You didn't watch the games and games you said. If you were paying attention, you would not have said what you said. UM has dominated and played very well so far. UM deserved it's stats. You thought UM racked up its stats against the D-II, not knowing that the D-II largely reduced UM's average season stats. You were just trying to stir up BS.

You say you're an electrical engineer, and then you double-posted in your first post. I don't believe you watched App St play twice. Tell us when/how you did that.

App St hasn't given up 500 in any of its 3 games this year. Gave up 244 to NCAT, and lost. Are you sure App St has a bad defense? Their defense has given up 8 TD's this year total. 3rd down conversion defense against NCAT and Elon were: 5/16 and 5/14. That's pretty good. Average yards per pass given up were 4.8 and 6.1 against those 2 teams. Longest passes given up against those teams were 19 and 31. That's pretty good. Where are you getting this App St has a very bad defense thing? I know. You made it up. You never even looked at the stats.

It's too early for any of these stats to mean anything, but your insistence on denigrating the Griz led me to think you were feeling insecure. Stats mean nothing except in the W/L category. Not who you played when.

That said, I think that there will be a real possibility that the Griz and Bison will meet this season. :)

You apparently are, or you're a troll. Which is it?
