Saw on the other thread about the points spread that it had the over/under at 55 points. Many thought that would be easy money. I'm not so sure about that.
Since the turn of the Millennium in 2000, the Griz hold a series lead of 11 to 6 (I count the vacated game...we were all there, we all saw it)
The average Combined Points for the Brawl is 48 PPG
In Bobcats victories the Avg Combined Points in those games is 38 PPG
In Griz victories, the Avg Combined Points in those games is 49.5 PPG
The AVG MARGIN of a Bobcat victory is 6.8
Where the Griz AVG MARGIN of victory has been 19.1
The two Stitt coached teams to play in the Brawl have averaged 35 PPG
SOOOO...the story the numbers have told since 2000 is one of Griz dominance in most games. When the Griz win...we generally WHOOP THEY ASSES.
When the cats win, its generally a very tight game, and low scoring.
Sooooo...this really paints an interesting picture, if the trend continues as theyve shown, it tells us that both these teams have to play their style to win the game. The Griz need to score often and light up the scoreboard, where the Cats need to slow it down and grind it out.
Cant wait to see how it plays out.
