Some Cat Fans

Thanks, Cat fans, for your sympathetic comments. In all honesty, once you get out of our wonderful little corner of the world, most of the rest of the country hasn't a clue whether you are Montana or Montana State. They just think it's "that Montana school, wherever that may be." This too will pass, and we will return to being THE BEST RIVALS in the U.S.

Shocking and sad day...

As a Cat fan and Montanan, I hope this storm passes quickly and the forthcoming changes quickly restore the proud program and school that is the University of Montana. I have no doubt that it will happen soon and we (Cats and Griz) will be back to "hating" each other over something as simple as football games.

Hang in there Griz faithful.

Although a great and sometimes bitter rivalry, there are much more important things in life than Cat-Griz. This Bobcat wishes you the best as the process unfolds. Not in the know, but it sounds like an accountablility flood is coming. Perhaps rightfully so.

Born in Missoula, raised in Bozeman, high school in Butte, and yes - played football for the Bobcats (engineer) -- but I love the great state of Montana. Took me living outside the state to realize how great it is. Montana is full of the best people I've ever met (even all the Butte Rats, or especially the Butte Rats!). Best thing for all Montana is to allow the flood to wash out what it needs to, then get back to being a program that all Montanans can respect -- on and off the field.

I know the actions of a few azzholes do not represent the whole. And no one should be kicked while they're down. Accountablility is a noble and necessary endeavor that will ultimately restore your proud tradition. I hope this is done without compromise, and with compassion to victims.

I'm proud to be a Bobcat, and Montana Born & Bred. I hope we kick some griz azz on the field every year. And I also hope we can respect each other as individuals, especially in difficult times. I have no doubt the vast majority of Griz fans do not condone despicable behavior, from athletes or anyone else, and want to see great leadership in your program.

Hang in there, griz fans

Montana really is the last best place, whether you wear maroon & silver, or blue & gold

Great post, thanks for putting that up.
