Also, maybe I'm getting into some delirious rambling but something fun and simple to add to the environment next year is we need a Cheeto toss after goals like the cookie/Twinkies toss after touchdowns at the football games.

Maybe a NIL opportunity/sponsorship with Frito Lay? At very least, a nod to coach (...haha if they wanted to do something off his entire last name phonetics, the frat guys/students in the truck beds could also take shots of whiskey to celebrate goals...would be a unique tradition).

Seriously, when is msu moving into the 20th century and adding soccer and softball?

I figured as much. Just have never seen it. Still impressive and good for those women. Hope they represent well. And unlike many on here, just because it’s not football or basketball I’ll respect their accomplishment just the same. I just always imagine if I had a child that excelled in soccer, track, rodeo, skiing, etc. I’d be proud regardless and would be disappointed in people diminishing it because “it’s not football so who cares”.

Seriously best of luck. And I’d LOVE the Cats to get softball especially but would be happy with anything new.

The ncaa soccer tournament is fun, and the GRIZ have been blessed to participate a number of times (although not as many as they should have with 9 straight regular season titles).

There's something about women collegiate sports and their pure joy that men's sports simply don't have.

I used to know somebody a few years back who worked for the cats athletic department (don't know if she still does or not), but she mentioned to me at the time that the cats needed to add another women's sport because of Title IX with the student enrollment and more female students at msu than male students. At that time, she had told me it was between Soccer and Softball, but they were leaning towards Soccer cause they were the only school in the Big Sky who didn't sponsor Soccer.

Since then, you guys decided to sponsor Rodeo, which I don't even really understand how that works cause the NCAA doesn't offer Rodeo. So how does that work exactly? And how can that be under the athletic department's umbrella?
