So, who takes a step back?

It seems that everyone has an opinion on the Griz taking a step back, and I guess that's understandable with the new offense and ....blah, blah, blah....but no one talks about the loss or the step back of other teams! I'm not the person to give an analysis of what this is, because, frankly, my 8 year old boy manners much more! But if any of you Griz who don't do anything-but hangout on this website-have an idea, I'd like to know what you're thinking. Personally, I think the Big Sky is wide opened! ISU IS OVER RATED! MSU SUCKS! Cal Poly could be great! Eastern might be having a rough time!

I don't know! Any thoughts?

Good football post. No mystery why the sugar-jerk crew didn't respond. They're too busy trying, but failing miserably, to be funny.

I think you hit the nail on the head about ISU being over-rated, and EWU not having the same caliber team they had under Adams. Let's face it, neither of these two teams can stop anybody on defense, and there is no way that either of them will be as good on offense as they have been. As for MSU, I think their first team offense can be dynamite, but they have little depth, so the inevitable injuries will hurt them. Keeping Prokup (sp.) healthy will be critical for them. They will still suck on defense.

And I agree about Poly being a force. It just seems like they lose a couple of games every year that they should win. Why, I don't understand, but they do it every year.

Montana is truly an unknown. We could be the dominant team in the conference, or we could lose several games. There are too many question marks at key positions (QB, safety, O-line) to predict how good, or how bad we will be. Our schedule does not set up to be favorable for breaking in a new offensive system, so we could be in trouble early in the season. We will know the answer to these questions by week 4.

Good grief...this guy really is monteisacharacter...let me recap this "football post:"

1. Eastern loses va, defense stinks.
2. MSU...has to keep qb healthy, defense stinks.
3. Poly...inconsistent.
4. Griz...we might win or we might lose. Time will tell.

Damn, I don't agree with you on anything usually! But thank you! I'm so tired of the "holy-than-thou" pontificators who know everything!
They talk to here themselves like Sean Hannity but never really say a thing! Thank you!

Stick with me ,dude, when the season comes around. There will be a big group of us discussing the finer points of the game, and these knuckleheads will not be a part of it except their trite attempts to dis objective posters like myself.

Yeah, finer points. There wasn't an original f***[*] thought in your entire "football" post. Every single thing you mentioned has been beaten to death on this site. Real genius "insight" there...

So what! Probably beaten to death by you and your mfs that have nothing better to do! Any respect I had for you is gone!

Why all the anger, bro?

My two cents (Canadian so that is like 1.6 cents American)

EWU; obviously the QB is a step down but the Eagles might be able to succeed for a while with their Loyola Marymount idea of just outscoring everybody. It will eventually fail in the play-offs.

MSU will go exactly as far as Prokop's health and the way he runs and takes hits that may not be far. Their defense is currently ranked fifth in the state behind us, Carroll, Butte Tech, and Kalispell Glacier.

ISU will see a drop off, the schedule last year broke perfectly for them and their stud QB is gone.

Poly will be Poly, they run a gimmick that is almost impossible to prepare for in a week so they will have success until they run into a team that can control the clock, which doesn't give the Mustangs a chance to grind out that triple option.

Here is my e-griz take....

1) Griz...This is e-griz, so you are #1 on your own site
2)EWU...With the talent they have at WR, all the QB needs to do is throw a ball in the air, they will go get it.
3-12)..No one cares
13)MSU...Again...This is e-griz, so Cats are last. Prukop can't stay healthy, a mean Christ, he missed one game last year, no way he lives through the whole season.

True. And if Coach Hauck were back on the sidelines, we'd have to play every game. But we'd win every game...by a wide margin. Because that's how selective memory works. Thank you.

EWU will suck. They just won't be able to beat anyone, however, Kupp will be the QB by the end of the year. We will see several Kupp to Kupp passes(it will be an amazing thing to see) but it won't be enough for them to make the playoffs.

Poly will be good, but they will lose to the worst teams in the BS for some weird reason but will beat the top teams other than the Cats.

ISU will suprise people. Krams will punch someone in the face(maybe a player, maybe a ref) and be suspended for 3 games and then come back with a vengance.....and barely miss the playoffs.

the pooooooooooooor grizzlies will be pretty stitty this year. MD will come out of retirement and be seen picking his nose on the sideline as stitt is seen crying in the corner when his vaunted offense gets stymied by the griz scout team in fall practices. :thumb:

and what can you say about the Cats. The good guys will go undefeated. They'll beat the griz by 151 points, their defense will see a huge inprovement as they will only give up 15 points all year. Not per game, but total. They will be ahead so much in all of their games, they will just run nothing but the wildcat by the 2nd half as Prukop and Bleskin will both have thrown for an average of 5 TD's a peice by that time and get pulled from the game and the Cats will run the ball every down at that point with RS frosh wide receivers because we are that deep.

Mark it 8 Dude.

Let's read your freakin words of wisdom, sh*t-for-brains? You couldn't get any credibility posting about "how to break-out" on a maximum security prison web site.

See, this is what so messed up.. Did the scrambled eggs come from a free range chicken? That is a make or break deal for some folks..

Well, I did spend a summer running sheep on some mountain in south central Montana, don't recall the name...Brokedown, Brokeout, something like that.

Technically Bozeman Pass is not a mountain...but not important...
