And I don't know why JJ, who is likely to be found innocent, would want to come back and play for a University that threw him under a 16 wheel semi truck this past spring. Maybe he wants to play for the fans and his teammates, but boy I think it would be tough to give in and play for a President and University that treated him so, so, so unfairly. They made an example out of him in the worst way possible.

If it was my kid i would tell him to stay and show everyone who he really is
I'd tell mine the same.

I voted TMac, with whom I'm very comfortable, and with whom we can make a deep, deep playoff run.

But it could well be JJ.

T-Mac is definitely a talent. He's got speed and can throw a ball, but to whom? Some of his passes last year were mind-bogglingly inaccurate. If he got that under control, he would be a straight out baller with more speed than DeNarius.

But this all doesn't mantter to you does it, Everett? Since every QB on the Griz roster is better than DeNarius McGhee and since the Griz are awesome no matter what and will be the best team in college football, if not the NFL, right?

Hey, jerrywisconsin: Find one post where I call any current UM quarterback better than dm. Or for that matter, where I suggest dm isn't a great QB. I've got all the respect in the world for that guy. You? Now THAT's a completely different question.  :msugrad:

I recall that after Cole's freshman year, every sad cat fan was over here on our board telling us how they were going to eat our lunch for the next 3 years. How'd that work out for 'em?? I expect something VERY similar as TMac matures.

I think many on egriz are way too optimistic in terms of JJ being found innocent. All the accuser has to do is be able to say "I said no" in a credible way and it may be hard for the jury to not convict JJ.

Please note that I'm offering no opinion as to the reality of the case, I'm only saying that if the accuser is credible on the stand it could be that JJ is found guilty.

:o

Did the trial's venue get changed to Stalingrad??

That's how it goes down tho, bro. It is his word against hers. As much as Paoli has tried to make it his word against hers, and her past, and her past choices, and her past relationships and medications and medical conditions, etc, it is simply his word against hers on that night in Missoula. That's what matters. If she is credible and he chooses to tesify and is not credible or less credible than she is, then that's where I think you get your conviction.

Perhaps some of you legal scholars here can enlighten me on whether or not JJ was charged with any lesser included crimes like sexual assault if the jury could not agree on the rape charge. Just curious.

unless j.j. comes back s.s.h. will be at the helm with gus backing him up. i'd be surprised if mckinney is here after spring ball if j.j. comes back. if j.j. doesn't come back it's dropdown time.

Well of COURSE it's her word against his, unless during trial some additional evidence comes to light.

But in America, her word doesn't carry any more weight than his does. Sure, credibility will weigh heavily on the jury. But if only credibility won or lost trials, there'd be a lot of cases with different outcomes. And if the pre-trial leaks are to believed, it may be safe to assume that JJ will have more credibility going into trial.

By pre-trial leaks I assume you mean Dave Paoli bloviating. I'll leave it up to the legal scholars to determine whether or not Paoli on the Law is a legitimate source for Everett to base his assumptions on.

Trollin, trollin, trollin. Keep them catties trollin. TROLL ON!!!!!

So did I say something you disagreed with or are you unable to respond because you know I'm right?

Paoli and Kirsten Pabst made numerous statements during the lead up to the trial. I assume those are your leaks. Please admit or deny that those are the "leaks" you are referencing.

Non answers will be deemed admitted.

Explain to me how the University and the President treated him unfairly. He was accused of rape by a woman, not the University. He is being prosecuted by the Missoula County Attorney, not the President. He is accused of Rape, a felony. There is no way he would be allowed to be on the football team until his innocence or guilt is being decided. Can you imagine the public outcry if the U were to allow an accused rapist to play? The U has, by the way, allowed him to stay in school.

Incidently, you're slipping. This is like, 3 straight posts without a single mention of Wisconsin.

So Dave Paoli on the law is your source. Not surprising. I wonder if Judge Townsend or the Montana Supreme Court will be impressed with Dave Paoli's citations to himself.

Dude, I don't have a source. Neither do you.

And not ONE WORD of your trolling changes the fact that the trial takes place in America, where the defendant has just as many rights as the State, and is presumed innocent, and it damn well BETTER take more than a woman saying she said "no" to get a conviction.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled trolling.

I never said I had a source. I'm directly refuting your garbage "pretrial leaks" by pointing out that you read about them in the Missoulian and were bloviated by Dave Paoli. His opinion on the guilt or innocence of JJ is meaningless to the trial except for the passion and bloviation with which he defends him.

So, there we have it. You were exposed. You made stuff up based on someone else who made stuff up. Prove me wrong.

Love,
JP
