I'm going to take a little risk here and share some personal things. I spent a decade in a relationship with a former regular poster (he's been gone from here since 2010). In summary, he was a Griz addict - far beyond a typical hard core fan because he is also psychotic. He is now in a federal penitentiary for sexually abusing my child. I joined eGriz in '09 and things were very divisive and controversial at that time. Bobby's players were in the news for their issues. Later, the sexual assault issues tied in with the UM became prevalent in the news. The Penn State/Sandusky scandal was all over the news. After finding out my ex was a pedophile, getting him arrested, dealing with his supporters calling me a liar and attacking me, I became an advocate. I volunteered at the YWCA. I joined a committee to raise awareness of sexual violence. I was named Citizen of the Year by the Missoula Family Violence Council for my efforts. Many more things have happened since. In the midst of it, I was criticized by advocates for taking part in the eGriz "culture". I was criticized by eGrizzers for the feminist causes. It seemed to be a conflict to be anti-rape and pro-Griz. I stepped away for a while but I just started following posts on here again very recently. I hesitated to read the commentary on the article about MaroonBlood featuring Alpha. Wow. I am SO f***[*] pleased to see that the true nature and decency of Griz fans and Hauck supporters came through. I'm pleased to see that the eGrizzers have divorced themselves from the toxic rhetoric of Alpha and the like, for the most part. I adore the game of football. I love discussing it. I can deliver and take crude remarks and disagreements and thrive on the banter like many of you. Thank you all for restoring my faith in us. Welcome back, Bobby. Go Griz!

Thank you for your excellent post! I read your book and appreciate your insight. What a great way to start my morning, thank you! Look forward to your future posting.

Welcome back GG. Granted we really don't know each other and only met through a few exchanged PMs, but I feel as though I've stumbled upon a long lost friend. Your presence is an embrace, welcome and refreshing like an evening tropical breeze. Life is sometimes so wondrously prophetic, just the other day, I was digging through some boxes tucked away in my closet (still unopened after my move back to Montana, back to home) and came across your book. And for a few minutes, you and I shared a smile. I hope to do that again one day.

Awww...OTG. So great to hear from you, my friend!! Sending hugs and kisses to you! I'm redoing the football book. I rushed it to publication to get quick funds to leave the bad man. I need to turn the book into what it was meant to be. Certainly, you will get one again. Thanks for the kind words.

Welcome back GGNez and kudos to you for your courage and tenacity throughout your trials and tribulations in the recent years. Don't know your book name?

Thank you! The book they refer to is called Football, My Unlikely Therapist. However, I did not reprint after the last batch sold out. I published it quickly and before I was truly satisfied with it because I wanted quick cash to leave the bad guy...I'm revamping it now and will release it again soon. I recently published another on Amazon detailing my experiences with the abuser.

I'm glad to join the Griz conversation with all of you again.

Well the names of all changed since you hung around
But those dreams have remained and they've turned around
Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Back here where we need ya (back here where we need ya)
Yeah we tease her a lot cause we've got her on the spot
Welcome back

So nice to hear a positive post GGNez. Also nice to hear it from a female. I'm tired of hearing all the bad press and just want to move forward with Hauck and Co. Go Griz. Let's be great again!

Thanks so much, GW. I couldn't agree more!! Onward and upward!!

This exactly! I’m ready to talk football and be a part of a hopefully more positive Griz Nation!

Welcome back to the board! Sounds like you have been through hell and back, and I am glad you have come out on the positive side. Looking forward to your posts!

Thanks so much!! Looking forward to yours as well. I'm so excited for BH round two!

Very nice post. Things around here go a little overboard sometimes but the toxicity is a lot lower than it used to be. Welcome back. I hope to meet you at reinell's spot next season. I have four daughters and share the same views.

Thank you for your kind words. :) I look forward to meeting you. And...regarding the commentary here, I'm certainly not afraid of a good debate and will dish it out as much as I take it when things get a bit contentious. But, I think we all know where and how the line got crossed and made us all look bad. Glad to see that clear line is intact. Go Griz!

Welcome back! Glad this place has changed into something you can enjoy once again. As you know it's tough to have such a large group with so many differing opinions be a "mostly" civil place to enjoy! It has it's ups and downs but I am proud of what this place is. It's a great place for Griz fans and will be for much more time to come. Cheers
