This is the first Griz game I have watched in years and I was scratching my head by the end of the game. I've been watching highlights for the last few years, but this was my first live game. I left feeling puzzled.
Why bother installing an offense only one QB can competently run? It's rare for a starter to make it through the entire season. Better have a competent back up.
Have screen passes been banned from the playbook?
Is Hauck still the special teams coach? If so, he needs to be removed from that position immediately.
Why is this offense so simple? I have seen high school teams run more sophisticated offenses.
The coaching staff does know you can get a first down in overtime, right? The calls on third and fourth and long were rather dubious. Hoping for these refs to bail you out is not a great plan.
Tough game to lose, but defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory today.
