Not concerned. Griz don't control which Big Sky teams they play. Not Delaney's fault the Griz don't play NAU or Idaho State this year. The HILARIOUS thing is, when the Cats played Suck State, they had a winning record, and when the Cats had to beat them on the last play of the game, everyone on here ooooooooooood and awwwwwwwweeeddd over Sac State's offense and said the Griz needed to put up at least 50 to win that game. Even last week, that was still the consensus. NOW that the Griz absolutely shithoused Sac State, all of a sudden they're not a good team anymore and the win doesn't mean anything LMFAO. Egriz never ceases to amaze me.

Well to be objective about it, Sac was playing at home and Saffron wasn't beating himself by throwing like dog shit all game. I'm not saying that the outcome would have been different, but it would have been interesting if the Griz played Sac the night that the Cats did. Just goes to show you that teams play better at home and teams have ups and downs, which is why you can't compare teams based on how they played the same opponent. And lets not forget that your game was played at Wagriz, which is tough on any opposing team.

In regards to the thread though, wasn't UND supposed to have an amazing defense, based on how they played the Griz? Does the fact EWU put 54 on them mean UM just sucked at offense?

I think UND was seriously banged up for the EWU game, but I doubt many here will argue against the accusation that the UM offense sucks. The thought of playing against that juggernaut EWU defense has to be daunting.

You can look a long time before you find any profanity on any of my posts Hav Fan...and I don't call beating a worthy opponent as "Beating their ASS".....that's another difference between you and me....besides the hypocrisy differences :mrgreen:

Glad you brought this up! Based on EWU and Montana's common opponents (UC Davis, N. Colorado, and UND) EWU has allowed 35 points and UM has allowed 56. UND was down the depth chart in the QB position and N. Colorado has their backup QB for UM.

Granted, EWU is aided by more sustained offensive drives. So, I make the case that EWU is just as good on defense as UM is. EWU has faced more powerful offenses (UW, ISU, MSU, SUU, SHSU) while UM has only faced Cal Poly and arguably NDSU.

Granted, it appears EWU's defense has gone from horrible to not as horrible, but the Griz defense is far better.
Scoring defense: Griz: 20.3 Eag. 30.0 Total defense: Griz 357 Eag 423.8

Keep in mind, the Griz defense has done that with what has been an inept offense at times, which has placed our D on the field for much more of the game. Our stats would be even better if our offense was better.
We could also probably agree that Idaho State's offense is on par with Sac. St's offense. EWU gave up 53 to ISU. The Griz gave up 13 to Sac St. (7 of which came with a few tics on the clock against our reserves). There really is no comparison.

Why would I bet 100 dollars on a game I picked EWU to win in August?? Just because I'm a fan doesn't mean I can't be objective. If VA plays and is a semblence of his regular self, EWU will win the game. There's no shame in that. They are a really, really, really good offensive team, are they not? And in my view, it won't affect the Griz' playoff hopes ONE SINGLE BIT. As long as the Griz win out, which I believe they will, they will not only make the playoffs, but host a game. And that, I already have bet 100 dollars on.
