I just want to win. And this team can win

Sounds like CDA was right.......no sideline. Damn Swill, I really thought you'd get 'em going over there.

Thank goodness Swill still has that awesome avatar photo of the 17 Griz fans throwing their sets up. That was a sweet turnout.

Saying the griz need to win to get more people to the games is akin to saying Michael Jordan was a great player; you're not saying anything people don't already know. Maybe that's the reason nobody comes to the games, everyone just keeps saying' "win, and they will come" without realizing that it's a given. The athletic dept. might have to actually work to get attendance up. It might have to actually think about ways to do so other than "we'll just win more games".

I know my above long post from weeks ago is densely worded, but Swill, get out a dictionary and read it.

PS: Lou, that is the most beautiful avatar I've ever seen. I want to find the one right after that where Qwally looks back at the basket to make sure it went in like, "Huh? Oh.". Priceless.

Speaking of Basketball Attendance:

They have a nice baseball stadium in Spokane. I think George Brett still has ownership interest. I looked all over for some football action but had no success. I did find a small basketball building which seems fairly adequate after an unfortunate illegal substance set back.

I can see why they would be able to corral 6,000 people in that who would be ready for some round ball once the baseball season is wrapped up. Wonder if there is spill over to the lady "dawgs" or is that at U of W.

I've said it many times BARNBALL, GU's lack of a football program really speaks to the merits of our basketball program. I mean, how can GU have a good basketball program without playing 12 big time football games against the likes of Fort Lewis, South Dakota State, and Northern Colorado? College Gameday material for sure. One way to make sure you win is to schedule the worst. Ah yes, I long for a real powerhouse football program to make GU's basketball program better.

For example, look at Lou's avatar. Just think how much higher Pargo would have jumped over Qwally if GU had a football program....amazing!

the ironic thing is, we already have that coach and that tradition in place on the women's side. a joslyn tinkle would blow the roof off dahlberg every game, and create a contagion that might spread to the men's program.

Joslyn, barring injury, and in her right mind, and her parents' right mind, will not attend the U of M. She has bigger fish to fry.

CDA: We have been to a few GU games together, can you imagine if we could get this kind of a turnout!!!! Dahlberg is able to hold 7,500 but looks like it was fairly easy for them to corral about 200 fans into it for this game. Must have been before the baseball season wrapped up?

Thats a nice picture. Was it taken before or after the game? Unless they now allow ladders on the court during the game. Come on show a picture during a game. Should have at least 400 people in the stands!

Yeah I see what you mean, that really makes the difference once the game is going!!!!!!
