Sneed's hurdle, the hit, and what happened after

You ladies need to quit looking for every reason to make football less watchable. Everyone was going for the ball and you really have to take a flying leap to think there was any intent there.

Its a physical game, quit being lame

The Davis guy came in very late, and he wasn't going for the ball. He went right at Sneed and his head/neck with his knee. He stopped right after he hit Sneed. Made no attempt for the ball. Your post is wrong on the facts and just plain stupid. A comment a "girl" who doesn't know the game would make. Not including GN or Eruil in this comment.

Did he get called for a personal foul on this play? If it didn’t get called I guess it’s not dirty and I need to change my opinion.

What's your take on the leg twist dirty play? Honest question. I haven't seen it yet but according to several egriz posters it was blatant. I'll be watching it later.

I didn't see it. I couldn't or didn't see any of the stuff on the far side/west of the field during that spurt. Didn't really see the Davis penalties either.

On TV it wasn't Blatant. Sandry goes low gets ahold of the guys lower leg and ankle and locks on. The UC Davis player rotates as he is falling but Sandry stays locked and then after he is on the ground his leg as a result is twisted up and Sandry didn't let go right away. At full speed, it doesn't look intentional at all. In slow mo looks like he should have let go when they were on the ground and he held on a little bit. I see why it was a no call though as at full speed there wasn't much to see.

I don't really care about either play - both over and done with. I will say that Sneed is very lucky that a clean hit didn't break him in two. If he keeps doing that we will see what Humphey can do sooner than later. If he could/would learn to build his arm strength and accuracy so he could actually throw a 15-20 yard out he might not have to hurdle anyone. And just to take exception to PR's assessment that he can throw a deep ball, I think the two back shoulder throws he completed were pure shit-house luck. I don't think he could hit the bed of a moving dump truck at 30 yards so him differentiating between the front and back shoulder of a receiver is quite speculative. I did see a tape of a QB this week, posted on egriz, who could differentiate between the front and back shoulder and could hit the bed of a moving dump truck but that is another topic for discussion on skill sets that perhaps head ball coach and OC should have undertaken before coming to a foregone conclusion last March.

I agree that Sneed was lucky on that jump and shouldn't do it. Sneed throws a nice out pass. Both in games and practices. The pick was jumped by the corner and Sneed didn't see the corner in time to release it high. Sneed's medium to a bit longer throws are good. Some of you think that every pass is supposed to be on target. No qb's throw every thing on target, especially at the college level. Maier is very accurate and threw most short passes, and he had some off target too.

Jensen used to throw multiple passes into the ground and completely off target at the start of every other game last season. Didn't see many of you complaining about that.

Just a guess but maybe it is because the ground can't catch the ball and head the other way. Did you only see one throw that was jumped by Davis? I was sure I saw three but I might be wrong.

Guess I don't know what TV you were watching. The leg twist was real..it wasn't ambiguous...it was dirty. Period. Hawkins lead effectively and the penalty was proper. His team responded...and proceeded to produce the worst loss in the history of Wa Griz...I think. Yes...Sandry was dirty on that play.

Only the pick to sideline. What did you see? Please explain the play to help my recollection. Thx.

Probably him and sandry both if they did their jobs. Both very unnecessary dirty plays.

Does anyone have video of the Sandry play? I have heard a lot about that play and something Buss did as well.

The difference being what the UC Davis player did could actually kill someone, so no not the same.

Never said they were the same, just heard that Sandry and Buss also had dirty plays. I didn't see the Sandry and Buss ones, so was wondering about the veracity of the claims on those plays...I agree that this hit on Sneed was very dirty.

Buss was retaliating for being shoved in the back, he is just the one who got caught

You must of been watching a different game. It was blatant as hell. The play was over and Sandry rolled back over onto the guys leg and kept twisting.

Just confirmed with Strahm that he had zero personal foul penalties last year and 2 roughing the passer penalties the year before. He said he drew about 6-8 personal fouls during that time. He's coming to Griz-Cat. He wanted a dirty player.

Strahm got a unsportsmanlike penalty on the TD in Cat Griz in 2016 that extended the drive that would end with Chris Murray doing a flip into the endzone and landing on top of... Strahm. To which Strahm proceed to twist Murray's leg.

As much as I dislike the Griz, I have no bad feelings towards any of the players, they are just guys like anyone else. But it was sure fun watching a guy like Strahm get embarrassed in that game by Murray.

Actually that was Kidder...From the box scores , PENALTY UM personal foul (Caleb Kidder) 15 yards to the UM22, 1ST DOWN MSU, NO PLAY.

Nope, you are wrong. Strahm had 2 roughing passer penalties in 2016, and no unsportsman type calls in 2017.

Yes, I later saw your post.

Ah, I was wrong about Strahm on that play, I will admit that (just used another poster on BN's info, should've known better). Doesn't change my feeling about the kid.

Pointless discussions really, like others have said, every team is going to have a guy or two who does this from time to time. Some more than others sure but no one is above reproach here.

So, Strahm has 2 roughing penalties and no other personal foul type penalties in his last 2 years, but you are going to disregard the facts and stick with your incorrect view? I get it. A number of posters are like this.
