Smoke in Missoula

Several years ago with the fires so bad around here, I remember there being some talk about moving practices indoors and potentially having to move the first game...like to Butte. I haven't heard anything like that yet this year, but the smoke is downright horrible. Anybody hearing anything to that effect?

There is just too much money that would be forfeited if they had to move the game. The smoke for the NDSU game was nuts and they still played. They'll play it.

Has our resident "lawyer" chimed in on this recently? I'm wondering about the long term impacts on these youngsters & fans.

And no, not talking about PR.

Perfect timing on this release

Honestly thought this was going to be about some smokeshow's insta showing some Missoula backdrops, but I'm glad the literal smoke is not out of control.

By a couple of years ago do you mean every year at this time? It's always this way and we always play.

The smoke can be super bad one day, much better the next. It is not consistently horrible like it was two years ago leading up the NDSU game. Today is actually a pretty good day compared to some this past couple weeks.

No need to worry about the smoke at this time, cant wait for next Saturday!

Indeed, smoke bad here in missoula valley but nothing compared to hellish conditions observed by our neighbors in Swan valley and up the bitterroot.

Some bad air in 80's and 2000 but the onslaught this year is consistently bad. The air was miserable (nearly orange color) for ndsu but the game went on.

Suspect we may get used to nasty air as drought and the heat persists

I long for the clearer, cleaner air observed in my youth! But, it is what it is.

Let the games begin

Smoke in Missoula. Isn't that a Deep Purple hit?

I've only had one scotch. It's still all Stitt's fault.

smoke doesn't look too bad to me. But, I'm not there.

Yuk,

This is a green screen backdrop that has blue skies added in later. Band, players -everything, all added. Smoke's so thick, you can't see th "M". They're controlling the narrative pretty tightly now. You guessed it, Stitt's doing.
