Smith should be around Michigan State for a long time. He has helped build Oregon State into a national powerhouse. I remember the "60s & '70s when Oregon State was a bottom dweller in the Pac conference. My wife got her undergraduate degree from OS. We both watched our teams (OS and Griz) grow from the '60s to what they are today.

He'll be fired in less than 5 years.

Feel horrible for the Beavs on this. If UCLA does as expected and cans Chip Kelly, he’s who I’d be calling as soon as they make the announcement. He’s been vocal on how BS it’s been to have OSU and WSU left behind. Obviously the guy can coach!
I wish Smith luck on his move. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener Johnathan.

I think in this case the grass is much greener and taller. More money, better conference and he can turn the program around. Oregon State is officially dead in the water. So is WSU. Terrible scenario and another screw job the NCAA created. What a mess.

The NCAA is not to blame in this case. Look no farther than the incompetent PAC12 commissioner and his inability to secure a competitive TV deal.

WSU and OSU won the rights to the Pac 12 and the money, 400 million was the number I recall.

They have not won the right to the money.
