It’s a funny tale, but I have just one nit: Orofino cannot claim true Panhandle status.

Here’s a true story: I’ve played too many bball games against the Maniacs in that cracker box next to the prison. Freshman, JV, and, well, JV again. Every single time, we got back on the bus going home, and everyone’s Discman (or knockoff RCA equivalent like I had) had completely drained batteries because ghosts or aliens or creepy opposing team managers went into our bags and hit “play” during the game. All I wanted to do was listen to Juvenile’s album, “400 Degreez”, including, but not limited to “Back That Azz Up” on the return trip, but I had to resort to staring out the window while our bus driver mowed down deer in a flat-nosed bus.
