Nah, we'll be watching with high interest. Just like you were for our 7 trips to the natty.

I grew up a long time ago Kem, as a griz fan. I've watched my stare of griz games including chippers. Not all, but most. I watched nearly every griz game this year too. It's a lot easier to hunt in the fall when you can record them. :thumb:
I record them even when I'm home; can't stand the dead time in a game. Then, of course, that spoils me when I'm at the game. The commercial time outs seem to get longer every game.

All smack aside, I give MSU a good chance in this game. NDSU is not dominant; they were damn lucky to get past JMU. But the game time of 10 AM truly sucks, recorder for sure.

Our approach too. We start the recorder right away, but don't watch the live broadcast until some time has passed. (I'll admit I look in on eGriz and the ESPN scoreboard now and then because I can't stand not knowing what's going on, in general. ;) ) Then we do a kind of "tape delay" so we can run through the commercials. If we time it right, we don't catch up with the commercials until near the end of the game.

Kem, I came over here about 10 years ago to learn more about the Griz team & was warned that Egiz is a cesspool of trolls. There's a few trolls here - some are Cat fans - but most of the regulars are sharp & knowledgeable - you're at the head of that class. I watched the NDSU/JMU game too. NDSU looked to be bigger and more physical on O, JMU was more versatile & could move the ball in the air. JMU had opportunities to win that game. The Cats can win this if they can play their best - a clean, smart game. I hope we've closed the gap this year - we being MSU and UM. I'm tired of NDSU!

These games are not easy to win, there is a reason there are two good teams remaining. We've won two of these and lost 5. We can be disappointed in the losses, but they brought no shame. I've always had the attitude going in that I want the team to play hard, minimize mental mistakes, keep it competitive with a chance to win and, win or lose, leave a performance on the field worthy of respect. Can't ask for more.

Well put. NDSU beat the snot out of MSU the last 2 playoff games. In 2010 MSU was ahead in the 4th quarter 17 - 14 and lost 42 - 14. I was at that game & left wondering WTF just happened? It was our first dose of Bison ball. They wore us out on both lines & MSU hasn't been close to them since. Gives me some hope knowing UM beat them a few years ago. They're beatable. They'll film a movie if Touchdown Tommy goes off........

For the love of all that is holy, could you PLEASE stop bringing this up every fucking week? It’s more tiresome than lame-ass posts about Stitt that some keep dredging up.

We could ask the University of Montana who provides more support, Kem or argh!

why not? every time he puts somebody else down, which often happens multiple times in a week, i just put the importance of his input into perspective.

sad to say, i have not heard of a bar yet in this thread that can match lukes, for, like anything. especially when the lone amoeba was playing. or was he the first amoeba? i think he was the lone amoeba, but...

Saw Eric “Fingers” Ray play there many a night.

Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap.

Luke's turned me into the guy I am today.
I worked for Missoula Distributing and Earls Distributing in the Late 70's - early 80's while still going to the U. On the days I had Luke's on my route, I went there before 9:00am. Beer was delivered and orders were written in the basement, where there was also an "After Hour's Play Room"
Saw a lot, learned a lot and did a lot in that basement....
and still haven't found a wife that can understand those quirks I picked up there...

spent too many cold winter nights in Lukes - "Woo woo, get down, break chairs" - somehow that's what I remember. I think a pitcher of Rainier Beer was $1.25.

The Turf. Watched it burn from an upper Jesse floor. Red Pies have never been the same.

In the fall of 1979 my Dad came to visit me in Missoula. For many years he worked for the Brunswick Corporation and it turns out for many years pre-prohibition Brunswick made bars. Turns our manufacturing a bar and a bowling alley is pretty much the same process.

When my Dad visited I took him to Red Pies for pizza, it was (in my view) pretty much the nicest place in town at the time. When we walked out he turned to me and said "Hope that guy has good insurance"; this struck me as a funny thing to say and I asked him why. He said "Because the bar might be worth as much as the building". Turns out vintage Brunswick bars are quite valuable. A few weeks later the building burned.

Now that’s an interesting story. I had no idea they made bars. Thanks for sharing that, mcg. Do you know of any places that still rock a Brunswick bar? That’s something I’d like to see.

So, so sad when that place went up in flames. :( :(
