Stroke of genius to move Jesse inside. & a lot of us noticed. He’s as strong or stronger than anyone he will face, and quicker off the ball than any of the bridge abutments that some favor. One guy’s not going to block him consistently. He’ll start commanding double teams & that will help clear lanes for pass rushers like Rice, who rushed inside as much or more as from the outside Saturday. He’s on pace for a monster season. #best37inthefcs

But is he healthy after last Saturday's game....?

Hearing he’s ok. Fortunately the defense was out on the field about ten minutes of the half, (when was the last time that happened?) so keep your fingers crossed.

And what about rice? He’s another that went down and didn’t return.

I thought I remembered seeing him return, but if not hopefully he is ready to go.

I was really impressed by his play this weekend. It seems like he is adjusting to D1 just fine and will be a pivotal member of that pass rush this season.

As bigkid said...."Sims won't have any problems in the trenches" (drinking coffee emoji)

I think 5 solos. 1 asst, 1 tfl. Not a bad first game there. Most teams on our schedule are gonna have to put a couple guys on him.

Could have a Monster day on Saturday. UNA just released their depth chart. The starting center is listed at 243lbs. Must be a typo.

I rewatched the game last night and focused on him. His stats really don’t reflect his contribution. Big asset.

I've re-watched it also and totally agree with your assessment.

How did you rewatch it, home DVR? SWX only has the 4th quarter up for replay.

He has always played inside. He played inside last year and he played inside the year before. Lots of us were hoping he would finally play outside.

Yes, this is the first year playing nose. But he has always played inside the tackles. Jesse has never primarily played on the outside at DE. Colter talks about it all the time and I agree that strong side DE would be his best position.

ESPN + had it up for a day but I just checked and it’s gone now. Bastards took it down already.

Yeah, he walked that back yesterday. The linemen are designed as block eaters in this defense, and were until this last game. Sims decided he wasn’t going to be blocked & ramped up things considerably. I believe it was his best game as a Griz.

Look again. I’ve watched it a third time already this morning. Couldn’t sleep thinking about peach vodka I’m never going to taste, Ursa you bastard.

Not so fast my friend. After a 2 year battle with the Idaho Liqour Board over alleged problems with our exported sales in Costa Rica, Ursa brand vodka may soon be available in the USA through a multi level marketing platform (Bandway). Peach vodka will be our flagship product along with freeze dried borscht and life-size blow-up Russian Nesting Dolls based on my sisters-in-law, Inya & Onya. Stay tuned.

What would really be sweet is if you hired Enya to record your advertising jingle.
