CDA, I am sure your profile on ChristianMingle.com has seen increased traffic since you replaced "sugarcoater" with "realist" in your bio.....

It hasn't hurt. I'm fixin' to pitch some serious woo.

The best thing in the world would be if the Griz lose the rest of their games. Then I can say "I told you so" and it would prove I've been correct all this time. I mean, what's more important, the Grizzlies' season or me being proven right? Yeah, like I said...

+1 :x :x :x

OK---OK The spy watching practices claims Simis is doing a very good job. Coach has been hard on him but he seems unfazed and looks sharp. His timing has really improved. So we will see.

Also some good mention concerning Prater.

None of this matters. Can't throw the ball from your back all of the time. Terrible OL and Stitt can't coach at this level anyway. Consider it a win if Simis survives the game. :x :| :x

So, after 6 games, you know for a fact that Bob Stitt can't coach at the FCS level? With that kind of knowledge and insight into college football coaching, how are you not an athletic director somewhere?

I was once a sugercoater like yourself but no more...I'm down with what the realists like ursus, kem, 'box, have been saying. Why don't you put your unicorn out to pasture and join the rest of us over at the saloon for a shot of cheap whisky and some real talk? :x :x :x

I'm not sugarcoating anything. I simply disagree that Stitt, or any other coach for that matter can be judged after just 6 games.

Only a fool or a new comer rates a coach after 6 games...

Unless whiskey drinking is involved then it is perfectly fine. In fact it makes a damn good topic during the drinking session. Brain power is way way above itself.

Time to fess up. I drove up to Stitts post NDSU game "get together" up Linda Vista. Thought I could get a measure of the "Little General" socially in his crib. I'll not name the coaches or players that shared libations in the glow of victory. What struck me most was an air of Napoleonic triumph and vindication that a D2 coach could topple the 4 time National FCS champion in their house. Coach Stitt believes he's the right guy, at the right time, to return Griz Nation to their destiny of dominating the Big Sky. Who could argue that? David had slain Goliath. As the guests gradually slipped away, the coaches gathered for a final toast. I was asked to leave, and did so as a multi-colored pomeranian shook my sock to and fro, with increasing ferocity

Why is not it is always assumed that blocking issues are all talent related and coaching, blocking schemes are never considered to be an issue. It seems inconceivable to me that recruiting has been so bad that we start 5 players that suck and their backups (by the fact that they are not starting) are even worse. I don't buy it

Can't figure out how there could be so many "subpar" linemen too...maybe they are not the true root of the lack of offense. Never heard how the play where Simis fumbled (he said had a hand off option but didn't take it) could have been a hand off /pass option. Pretty hard to get decent runs if line doesn't block down field. If they did go down field at snap it would be illegal to pass so must stay near lone of scrimmage. And No It was not a draw type blocking scheme.

There were certainly many that were ready to judge him after just one game....

This thread is awesome.

If you were new to eGriz, you'd read this and go, "WTF?? This board is full of heavy drinking imbecilic idiots".

Of course, those of us who have been on here for some time know the real truth:

That person could not be more correct!

I was there too and you're a goddamn liar! That was Japanese spitz not a Pomeranian.

P.S. Where's Ed Cunningham when you need him? Probably treatment . . .
