Once a vox, always a vox!!! Come on Tinks, give it up.

ARGH I agree! I cannot take the anticipation any longer :beer2:

Mick, do us all a favor, make another screen name here, post the recruits and schedule as a rumor type post. Not like EGRIZ never sees rumors here. Then when these "RUMORS" are confirmed as facts, well you like a genius, and EGRIZZERS get the much anticipated news. Please Mick, do it for the team! :thumb: Would bribing you with more calls to Tinkle's radio show help? Come on, please please, yes I am begging!!!

That was pathetic. Next time you see Mick, why don't you hump his leg.

Christ sakes GB, lighten up. why start something with anyone on a harmless yet good thread? No need to reply. I too was trying to bring some humor to this without offending anyone.

I don't think Christ has anything to do with it. Do you honestly think I couldn't see the sarcasm in your post. I guess I gave you too much credit for assuming you would "get it".

What is the hold up with the news?

as I posted a page back.

A) The coaches are not done recruiting and do not want to release info until they are.
B) The signee has some "academic/transfer" problem or irregularity
C) U of M has gone back to the pony express as their document transfer method, just doing away with that whole electronic / digital transfer method.

Bet big money on a or b..... c was a joke

That's all I know for 100%. I do know that the pool of players out there is drying up quick. My guess they are waiting on a certain player (I don't know who) and once he commits sign him up and announce if he declines, you sign Plater and announce.

BTW: At the speed this is going you may get your first commitment for 2008 before before this is done. Sean Stockton a guard out of Washington is that close to committing to the Griz. For those wondering nephew of NBA Hall of famer John Stockton.

Tinks is still out of town. Scheduled to come back tomorrow.

April 30th was the last day of the NCAA evaluation period. Starting today coaches can only contact/ talk to athletes on campus or over the phone, and phone conversations are somewhat limited. April is the biggest month for recruiting in the whole year. Not only are coaches trying to finish their 2007 recruiting but they are also identifying their recruits for 2008, in some case actually getting commits. As such it is tough to know that if a coach is returning from let's say California whether he was their for a particular recruit he hopes to sign this year or whether he was recruit tourneys for next year. After today most if not all of the coaches should in town from now until next July when the next eval. period starts.

Time to sign the players.

Ok hoop nuts stand by. Signees in the near future, awaiting paperwork that is being picked up, could well make this class one of the best in Griz men's history. No hints, just a messenger from the heart of the program. Stay tuned.
Mick

This little thread was started with this little diddy two weeks ago. I think the Griz need to get some new to do it's" paperwork". So whats up! The "good guy's" are losing this one.

It is beginning to look like something may have gone wrong. I hope not.

After what's happened after his initial post, I doubt Mick goes out on a limb again in terms of what he forecast would occur. Too bad!

I know you love to be pessimistic, but the class is not complete yet. Patience is a virtue. :thumb:

You misread that one backer-no pessimism intended-it was just a feeble attempt to smoke Mick out and get him to say something more...and now you've ruined it! :thumb:

Give poor old Mick a little more credit than that, he doesn't get smoked out too easy. More than likely he fell asleep in his easy chair and can't get up. :thumb:

Probably too much chicken again! Excess chicken induced slumbers usually don't last too long. Hopefully he'll wake up soon and enlighten us some more! :thumb:
